Tomorrow evening, OhNo!Doom's Super Button Mashers opens its doors, and one of the invited artists for the exhibit is the one and only Steff Bomb. For her piece, she's made a plush Game Boy and cartridge (featuring Tetris). The plush is 6 inches by 4 inches by 1.5 inches and it gives me instant flashbacks to a Christmas morning in my younger days, when I got the big, blocky Game Boy and was overjoyed. I still have it, actually!
Steff Bomb's one-off piece will be part of Super Button Mashers when it opens Saturday evening at 6 p.m. Central at OhNo!Doom (1800 N. Milwaukee Ave., Chicago). Again I say I wish I could go, but alas, other things will keep me busy tomorrow. Go if you can, though! And buy this for me for a birthday present, please!
