So by now I've no doubt set up a precedence that if someone takes the time to make a custom Ninja Turtles action figure, I will probably like it. Most recently, that was another custom of the Shredder. Now I'm turning my gaze to the Turtles themselves and I couldn't be happier with what I'm seeing. G Brand from Figure Realms has tackled a reimagining of not one, but all four of the ninja teens, and each one is both unique and freaking awesome in a feudal style theme. And of course none of them are for sale and I don't own any of them, so they're stupid and I hate them. Okay, not true.

This is actually the sort of thing I can't get enough of since variety is beautiful with customs and more importantly, the ability for a figure to move is placed above all else. To start with, G Brand's Raphael is a converted Chuck Liddell UFC figure with some excellent sai, a cool new bandana, and quite the cool look. Donatello started his life as a WWE Kane figure, taking up the wandering ronin appearance that exemplifies the feudal style that G Brand's going for here, including his bandana covering one eye, which is a nice touch. Leonardo also comes from a UFC figure and seems to be the most assassin-like of the four, what with the cool mouth-covering bandana. And then there's my favorite, Michelangelo, reimagined as a kung fu master. He also comes from a WWE base but you'd probably never recognize him since the sleek, white outfit and nunchuks are just too amazing.

I'm yet again in that sad position where I know none of these are available in stores, a shame as I'd buy them all right now. The work here is simply perfect, at least visually (I have no clue how well they actually move but I'd assume excellently due to the articulation). Even the weapons look great. I can't tell you how much I'd pay for just the Michelangelo, but I'll let you believe that it's somewhere between "A Lot" and "Too Much." So Turtles fans, any of you feel just as saddened by this as I do? G Brand, start selling these and you'll make bank!
