It seems that hunting for treasures among the trash of the world is what's popular in the reality TV world, with a number of shows focusing on the pawn and auction industries. So how about one focusing on the world of selling retro toys? Travel Channel has just that with its new show Toy Hunters.
The stars of Toy Hunters are Jordan Hembrough, owner of Hollywood Heroes, and his team. Their goal? Search the U.S. for the rarest of the rare collectibles. The first episode starts off with trips to Cincinnati, Miami and New York Comic Con, where Jordan apparently hopes to turn a profit on some of his new finds. Sounds like it might be interesting, especially as it seems the show will also be informational about these retro collectibles.
The show premieres Sunday at 11 p.m. Eastern and Pacific on Travel Channel, with a replay at 2 a.m. Eastern and Pacific on Monday. Frankly, it's an absolutely awful time, but if you're interested, try to check it out.
