Simon Petrikov, Marceline, and Flame Princess Munnys
BRB. Crying forever over how perfect these are. Simon’s backstory is the most gut-wrenchingly sad thing in the Adventure Time universe, and his time spent taking care of a young Marceline the Vampire Queen makes him all the more tragic.
And Flame Princess, yeah, she’s pretty okay too, I guess.

Hot Toys' RoboCop, ED-209 are here
Seven years ago, Hot Toys released their first 1/6-scale RoboCop figure, and we've known they're working on an improved version for some time ... but I don't think I was prepared for the Movie Masterpiece Diecast Series RoboCop at all. It is a thing of beauty; everything is here, from the fist spike to the pistol to four different, beautiful-looking faces and battle-damaged armor. Again, like the figma, no open-faced figure, but probably for the same reason (unable to get the use of Peter Weller's exact likeness). Better yet, Robo comes with the ability to say sixof his classic phrases from the film, including "Thank you for your cooperation. Goodnight." and "Dead or alive, you are coming with me."
There's also going to be a version that comes with RoboCop's docking chair and will have LED illumination in the chair (which kind of serves as a secondary base for the figure). Both versions are coming in the second quarter of 2014.
I guess Hot Toys must have seen the news about NECA's ED-209, too, because they've also sent out info on their ED-209. Set for a first quarter 2014 release, the hulking robot has been redone as well and features tons of new detail, plus some new articulation, weapons accessories for the arms, and three sound clips of its own.
Pre-orders should be coming soon ... but looks like I'm getting myself a Hot Toys figure or two next year. Hey, Pedro; is it too late to change my DO WANT pick for the next year or so?

"Man of Steel" Featurette & TV Spot #11
And while the featurette is utilitarian in promoting the film (via SHH), the 11th TV Spot below instead, tells me it's going to be quite an emotionally intense ride as well, because Superman cries. You know shit hits the fan when the guy tears up, IMHO.
Super7 quietly introduces Caveman Dinosaur
So the news is out there, thanks to Flickr user ilmuffino and the eagle eyes of Andy at TOYSREVIL: Super7 has a new figure. His name is Caveman Dinosaur and he's been designed by Joshua Herbolsheimer of Rose Vampire fame. Quietly placed into the Super7 Lucky Bags this year (which we mentioned in passing previously) he's a little dinosaur with a big toothy grin and a club in his hand.
It's not the first time Super7 have done something like this (if I remember right, my favorite Super7 figure — Foster — had a similar debut a couple years ago) and I doubt it will be the last, but Caveman Dinosaur looks pretty darn awesome. If you want to try your luck, Super7 Lucky Bags are still available for US$300 a pop.
