Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan) [進撃の巨人] - one of the most awesome anime series I've seen so far that I simply must babble about!
Its a story about man eating giants who have been kept separate from humans for many moons by tall walls - until those walls are destroyed. We then start to see the struggle against the giants as friends and family get om nommed for brekkie and dindins.

The anime is based on the popular manga series of the same name. Now that the anime has come out - many folks (including me) have been wanting to get the entire set of manga only to find that its pretty much sold out everywhere until they can print more.

The series is so popular that apparel maker UNIQLO made Shingeki T-shirts too. This belongs to my comrade at Yuzusoft.
When I forget to record/watch Shingeki every Sunday at 11:30PM, I get to catch up on Crunchyroll using Apple TV to steam to my TV ^o^
This is one of the heroines in the show - Mikasa who is such a cool cutie.

This is my comrade Wada-san who just happens to be the producer of the anime series Attack on Titan. He also produced Guilty Crown, Robotics Notes and Psycho Pass.
He is also the big boss of WIT Studio which is a subsidiary company of Production IG. I have regular meetings at Production IG and caught up with him yesterday to see if he was free to come over to Anime Expo 2013 which takes place next month. I've also asked if he can bring some exclusive Shigeki footage to AX too.

Shingeki no Mirai - made by a Twitter user who I lost track of who used the MMD Mirai Suenaga data.
Right in the wake of Plum's own Yoshino figure going up for pre-order, Phat! Company is teasing their own 1/8-scale rendition which is now painted! We've got a back view here of the figure, which we last saw at Miyazawa Model Expo.
Because of the limited view, there isn't much I can say at this time, but I'm definitely interested in seeing the full preview. That floppy bunny ear hoodie is just too cute, and looking at the unpainted prototype, I'm excited to see the shading and details overall.

Right now, you should be listening to Random Access Memories. With the new album being released today, you can add to your Daft Punk collection with now open pre-orders for their S.H. Figuarts. Granted, orders are open today on the Bandai Premium Web Shop, but they'll be making their tour dates in North America soon enough.
With the pre-orders going up, we do have some information on their actual release. As was noted before, they will be released this October. The pair of figures now has a price, that being ¥4,725 each. Yes, that means the figures are being sold separately. You'll have to shell out that amount for both Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter apiece. As to why you wouldn't want them in a two-pack, I have no idea. However, this may not be the case when the figures make their way outside of Japan, but there's zero confirmation behind that. [Update 1] Bluefin has confirmed that each figure will be released in North America for $44.99 each.
If you can't wait for orders to appear in the U.S. or simply live outside North America, you'll have to find a proxy or go through one of Bandai's global dealers. Now if you'll excuse me, I'll go back to listening to the album and waiting for these guys to pop up on Amazon.

Delay time has arrived, and it's apparently hit Good Smile Company's Nendoroid line. Three Nendoroids are among those delayed, and they include both the Rin and Wooser set and the big-headed Mikudayo, destroyer of worlds. It's also hit Arcadia and Daiki Kougyou as well, with the Elin re-release and Celia respectively being delayed a month, too.

When Hot Toys announced that they were making a 1/6 scale figure of The Rock Dwayne Johnson as his G.I. Joe appearance as Roadblock, I was excited. Excitement can quickly turn to apathy and that's kind of the case here. Hot Toys Roadblock certainly isn't The Rock though it may not be Dwayne Johnson either.
I'll start with the good and there is plenty in the form of all of the accessories. Multiple guns, multiple knives, multiple hands contribute to a very nice package. Unfortunately, Dwayne's likeness isn't all there to me. What's weirder is that the similarity isn't seen from far away. When you look up close at the face, the resemblance is there. It's just not what we're used to from Hot Toys. It's gotten to the point that perfection is expected, so anything short of that is a disappointment.
Pre-orders haven't hit the U.S. distributors yet, but he is available on AmiAmi. Take a look at the gallery for yourself to see if it's worth adding The Rock to your collection. Hopefully it will be improved before the release, otherwise he just be not able to bring it anymore.
