Hasbro's SDCC exclusive Black series Boba Fett revealed
USA Today has released the first images of Hasbro's upcoming SDCC exclusive Star Wars Black series Boba Fett and Han Solo in carbonite box set. While the 6-inch Boba Fett will most likely appear later at retail, this very well may be the only opportunity for fans to get their hands on the Han Solo prop.
This SDCC exclusive is encased in a black box decorated to resemble Boba Fett's helmet/visor and will retail for US$45 at the Hasbro booth. While US$45 may sound like a hefty bounty given that the MSRP for the retail versions is only US$20, bear in mind that this is the first opportunity for fans to purchase anything from the 6-inch Star Wars Black series (the first wave is slated for August) and this may be the only opportunity to get an in-scale Han Solo in carbonite. Plus carbonite is probably expensive, even when it's just made of plastic. I imagine that many Star Wars fans attending SDCC may find this one just too hard to pass up.

Azone Announces New Misaki and Amelie Dolls
These are the first Misaki and Amelie released in two years.
What happened to the amazing Misakis of years gone by? After 2009, this line went downhill dramatically as far as design. Someone let the ball drop.
The two new dolls are the most boring examples of a line of dolls that wowed me when they were introduced. The best thing about these gals is their shoes.

Your Saber Lilly may not be defective after all
We've all been there: You get a new figure in the mail; anxiously tear through the bubble wrap; hold up the box and, ARG! Something is wrong with the paint, you can see it right there through the window! If you bought Good Smile Company's third release of their popular Saber Lily ~Golden Caliburn~ figure then you might have known that feeling all too recently.
But fear not! GSC explains that what appears as a dark mark in the paint is actually a drop of oil used to protect the paint from rubbing on the encasing blister pack. They're encouraging people to open the figure and remove it from the blister to be sure that there is no damage to the figure itself. Of course if there really is a problem you're still welcome to contact customer support, but give this a try first.

Point and laugh at the new MG Strike Gundam on display
I won't say that the new Master Grade edition of the Strike Gundam is bad. I expect it to be a great kit. The Strike Gundam is my favorite mobile suit, I have over 10 of them built between scales, and I may even get this one. There's just one thing that you need to make absolutely sure of when you're trying to sell a model kit to: You need to assemble it properly!
On display for the perusal of visitors at the Gundam Front is the Aile Strike Gundam ver RM. The first MG Strike was released 10 years ago so they've went ahead and updated it with the new inner-frame taken from the new SEED Master Grades. Unfortunately for this display, they've misassembled the kit. The arms have been done upside-down, with the biceps now acting as forearms. Not the best look, but hey, it is something to mock.
If you'd like to assemble it correctly for yourself, the MG Aile Strike Gundam ver RM will be released next month in June for 4,200¥. You can also find yourself a proxy and order the extra parts to make the Perfect Strike Gundam from the Premium Bandai Shop.
