Poe’s Pick of the Week: Transformers Encore Fortress Maximus ($330) I’m proud to say I owned this big bad boy as a kid. It was probably the most indulgent toy purchase my parents ever made for me. It wasn’t quite the equivalent of a G.I. Joe kid getting the U.S.S. Flagg – that thing was seven [...]
As a mother who is doing what I can to reduce our environmental impact I was thrilled by P&G’s recent announcement of achieving zero manufacturing waste to landfill at 45 of their global facilities. To achieve this accomplishment, P&G committed to finding worth from much of the waste left over after recycling processes were complete at their... [Continue Reading]

Introducing The Bacon University, a new division of outsmART originals, and you can shop at it's own store via baconuniversity.storenvy.com, and get better acquainted with the brand via it's website at thebaconuniversity.com and own dedicated Facebook. Hell, they even have their own Twitter @BACON_U.
PRE: 'The Bacon University is an institution of higher education that provides academic apparel for pork scholars. Covering the full spectrum of studies from Languages, Athletics, to Sciences, The Bacon University offers something for everyone.
Founded in 2013, the university is deeply embedded in the passion of pork and strives to share that passion with other fellow bacon aficionados across the globe. Each ultra cotton shirt is screen printed with the utmost care and made available for both men and women. The first session begins with six new releases, all in stock and available for immediate shipping.
Enroll now and express your field of study with a great new t-shirt from The Bacon University where our motto is, Frixam Cum Superbia (Latin for “Fried with Pride”).'
Bacon: it's what's popular. And it's also a theme for OutsmART Originals' new original apparel line called The Bacon University. There's six shirts in total in the Bacon University shop, and while all aren't university apparel parodies, they all have bacon somewhere on them. Not literally, though, because that might be a bit gross and smelly by the time it arrives at your front door. The shirts are US$15 each.
You can also pick up other shirts in the OutsmART Originals shop right now. There's the Bearchamp shirt by JC Rivera; Kid Ink Industries' c3-MYK-O and Sumo Trooper; Carson Catlin's The Cut; Emilio Garcia's Skullbrain; Jon-Paul Kaiser's Return to the Sea shirts; and Pocket Wookie's The Long Island. You can check out all those designs in our gallery, but if you want to purchase them and many more, be sure to head to the OutsmART shop. Prices will run you about US$20 to US$25 per shirt.
Geared For Imagination has released a new series from their Topozoo line. The Topobots Series 1 includes a quartet of wooden robots: Herobot, Piratebot, Rockbot, and Vampbot. These 10" tall robots are manufactured in the good ol' US of A from recycled materials (including medium-density fiberboard). Look for them to retail around $9.99 each.
Awhile back we mentioned the PapaBehr Kickstarter project to fund a sweet robotic bear warrior USB toy. We’re happy to report that not only have David Ngyuen and his Uncle reached their original funding goal of $20k, they’ve also recently met their first stretch goal of $35k which means that...
This is Ranko Kanzaki from iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls from Phat Company's Minicchu line. Mikatan posted this single picture on her Twitter account. Maybe she'll be doing a preview in the near future? The tweet itself says that this will be on display in an Akihabara exhibition hosted by Kotobukiya.
I don't really get what these do that Nendoroids (which Phat Company also makes sometimes) don't. How many chibi figure lines do Good Smile Company and friends need? I guess as long as people keep buying them, they have to keep making them...
We've previously seen images of Daniel Yu's "Oi! Cthulhu" produced by Mighty Jaxx, today we have a closer and clearer look, both at the splendid blister packaging (above), and clearer product pics, courtesy of DKE Toys, who is distributing (time to go bug your fav retailers for this, people!). In a limited run of 300pcs, the suggested retail price is US$70 each.
PRODUCT PRESS: 'Daniel Yu envisioned Oi! Cthulhu as a modern Earthly Deity. Heavily influenced by H. P. Lovecraft and infused with a touch of punk subculture, this juxtaposition of mythical creature and present-day influence stands at 6" (inches) tall, comes with magnetic interchangeable hands and mini devil wings! Packed in a blister card with an epic backing card designed by Ralph Niese. Each production piece is painstakingly hand painted to achieve the immaculate detailing that Daniel is known for. Oi! Cthulhu is first of the Earthly Deities designed and sculpted by Daniel Yu.'
Just in is an update for the Fansproject NOT Stunticon figures including Crossfire 03-M3 NOT MotorMaster that completes the team, CA-11 Last Chance NOT Dead End and CA-12 Down Force NOT Dragstrip. We've all seen a puppy or adult dog playing with toys and having a great time while doing so.
FiveFtTwo is a line of toys designed in SF, blurring the line between toy, art platform and functional objects that can be enjoyed & appreciated by adults and children alike. The Story Currently the rubber ducky has no-one to play with. Although this isn’t the only reason we created Otto and friends, we think that children, parents and hipsters alike deserve another friend for the bathtub. Otto-the-Octopus Otto is the loyal friend that we all need. He is always there for you to brighten your day. Otto loves leisurely swimming sideways & bopping around in the water. You can help to fund the creation of Otto (& eventual friends) by checking out FiveFtTwo at IndieGoGo.

Yes! I finally get one of my childhood crushes in figure form! Well, in late September I will. At least I have the pre-order in now, as Rufus Shinra has deserved the toy treatment for years now. Yuffie Kisaragi will be joining him, as I'm sure you know, and she's up for pre-order as well. Both of them appear in their Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children attire.
I'm interested to see the accessory pieces that come with both figures. Rufus' extra face looks awesome, but of course I want his handsome face to be showing. I also really like the extra hand of Yuffie's that's holding all the Materia, it looks quite nice. These are retailing for ¥8,800, and again, will be released in late September, so get your orders in now!
