What Toys Are Up To: Hanami
It's that time of year in Japan, when the beautiful cherry blossom trees are blooming. People all over the country celebrate by taking short trips to the local parks. Often they have picnics or just take strolls with loved ones and family through their favorite parks. This is called "Hanami."
While observing Hanami, fans of Mikatan's blog submitted photos of their favorite figurines, around and inside of cherry blossom trees in all kinds of locations around Japan. If you look closely you can see Tokyo Tower in one photo, while others have photos of different buildings and locales which I assume are landmarks for their own respective regions. Check out the gallery and enjoy these beautiful photos.
I'm sure it took some courage for at least some of the photographers to take photos of their figures in public like this. I've done a little outdoor photography for reviews in the past, but not at any public locations. Still, I appreciate their courage, and thank them for giving us a glimpse of some of the prettier sides of Japan.
