This watch is all sorts of amazing. Sanrio and tokidoki continue their collaboration, this time roping in super stylish watchmakers, Nooka. Gotta love the tokidoki-ified Hello Kitty characters. I’m hoping for a tokidoki x Sanrio blindbox series some day.

Bowers & Wilkins P3s Blue Themselves

It’s amazing how the right color scheme can make a design so much better. I never liked the look of Bowers & Wilkins’ P3 headphones until they recently released these blue versions. Now I’m resisting the urge to buy a pair.

ToyConUK2013014

I spoke to Daniel Perry from Fugi.me who gave me a quick lowdown on his experiences for the recently completed ToyConUK, and as well a heed of the items unspoken for at the event will be listed online for sales via www.fugi.me. Meanwhile, Read-ON!

TOYSREVIL: How was the ToyCon for you? Your impressions? Was it what you expected it to be? Was this your first Con?

DANIEL PERRY: ToyCon was amazing! A lot better than expected. Any concerns I had were soon gone. Loads of fun was had, and it was reasonably profitable. I'm definitely looking forward to next year. My first Con experience was super positive.

fugi.me - dead dogs

TOYSREVIL: Tell us what you had on your table! And which of your items had the warmest reception / best response?

DANIEL PERRY: All of the Robotic Industries releases were super popular, and many sold out in minutes. The next popular item was the buff monster melty misfits stickers, and the Star Wars/Disney prints by Mimic. All of the items we had available can be seen on www.fugi.me

TOYSREVIL: Any suggestions to make the event even more awesome in the future?

DANIEL PERRY: Bigger, Bigger, Bigger, more people, more time, more stands, more going on!

With pre-orders launched today for Daniel Yu's Oi! Cthulhu via www.mightyjaxx.com (final colored version of the piece viewable here), here's a look-back at Daniel's initial immaculate sculpt for the 6-inch tall figure (Priced at US$70 - Limited Edition of 300 sets worldwide), showcasing his ability to design an original character (and let' not forget The Crawdad Kid), in addition to his striking customization skills seen numerous times feared on this humble blog of mine. Truly an inspiration to artists both local and internationally. Congrats on the launch, Dan!

PRODUCT-PRESS: 'Daniel Yu envisioned Oi! Cthulhu as a modern Earthly Deity. Heavily influenced by H. P. Lovecraft and infused with a touch of punk subculture, this juxtaposition of mythical creature and present-day influence stands at 6″ (inches) tall, comes with magnetic interchangeable hands and mini devil wings! Packed in a blister card with an epic backing card designed by Ralph Niese. Each production piece is painstakingly hand painted to achieve the immaculate detailing that Daniel is known for. Oi! Hanna-Barbarians-FLYER

EVENT-PRESS: 'On April 19 myplasticheart will celebrate the opening of Hanna-Barbarians, a group show featuring the work of over 20 artists from the U.S. and abroad. The show’s name is a tongue-in-cheek reference to its theme, with all artists creating pieces using elements from their favorite cartoons. This is a chance for these artists to showcase those cartoons that have influenced them throughout their careers, sometimes being critical elements in their development and interest in the arts.

The show is curated by the Studio Miners, Evoker & Team Sweet, who find joy in documenting the wonderfully exciting world of artists, collectors and creatives of all kinds. This theme particularly appealed to the Studio Miners because in their travels and studio visits, they were always fascinated to see what imagery other artists surrounded themselves with to stimulate creativity.'

The "Hanna-Barbarians" Group Show launches Friday, April 19 (from 6 – 9pm) and exhibits thru May 17. Click here for the full participating artists list. To sign up for mph's preview list contact previewme@myplasticheart.com. Previews below via myplasticblog.com.

Kyouko Sakura figma previewed and up for pre-order

Right in the wake of yesterday's figma blog preview, Kyouko went up for pre-order and she's looking quite good! I'm not usually even mildly enthused about figma, but this is the first time in a while (since original Dead Master) I'm actually kind of interested in one of these. Out of all the Puella girls, Kyouko is usually the one that looks super spunky!

Kyouko comes with three expressions, listed as smiling, doubtful, and angry. Her accessories include plenty of food, like apples, a crepe, and unmaibou. I like her casual outfit, and I think it works rather well with the action figure format. She's set to ¥3,800 retail and release should be in August. I've included the stock images from Good Smile Company's listing (which were the preview images from the figma blog) in the gallery -- enjoy!

Super7's latest Foster is in mint condition

Super7's Foster is still my favorite figure of theirs, and they keep tempting me with new colorways. The latest, Reverse Mint Foster, is absolutely going to be on my shelf, in no small part because I love mint. And teal green sofubi vinyl, which is what this little fellow is cast in. He's got a chocolate brown middle, and I'm glad he's plastic because I'm sure I would try to eat him otherwise.

Reverse Mint Foster is up for sale at noon Pacific (3 p.m. Eastern, 7 p.m. GMT) on the Super7 shop. He's going to be US$25. Also in the shop for Milton fans is the Midnight Snack colorway from WonderCon for US$25.

Pre-order Kotobukiya's Tsukiko Tsutsukakushi from HenNeko

Ever hear about The "Hentai" Prince and the Stony Cat? It was originally a story told in a series of light novels then was adapted to manga form. Apparently it was successful because there is an anime in production for it now which should air its first episode this Saturday, April the 13th. I had, at best, a passing interest in this show until I saw this latest figurine of Tsukiko Tsutsukakushi who is one of the of the lead characters of the show.

Having owned several cats myself and given that I have a weakness for girls with kitty ears, the design of this character is really interesting to me. Also cherries are my favorite fruit, and those two dangling from her mouth really add that extra charm. At her base, the cat, paw prints, and what I think is a statue of the stony cat itself adds nicely to her figure.

The way she is holding her skirt is a little flirtatious though, and I will have to say that this figurine has all kinds of fetishes implied. Despite that, unless you view her from a lower angle it is more of a cutesy figurine than a showy one. Also, minor spoilers are ahead folks, but in the story she quickly loses most of her ability to express emotions, hence her relatively expressionless face. Still, I like the subtleties of what she does show.

If Kotobukiya’s Tsukiko Tsutsukakushi tickles your fancy, you will be pleased to learn that she comes at a low, low price of ¥6800 and should be shipping out in late September of this year. Personally I am going to watch the anime this Saturday before making my own decision on whether to order her or not.

Don't be repulsor'd by this MS Iron Man 3 photo gallery

Art Asylum has uploaded a sizable photo gallery for Diamond Select Toys' upcoming Marvel Select Iron Man 3 War Machine and Iron Man mk 42 figures.

Both Iron Man and War Machine stand around 7.5-inches tall and feature 16 points of articulation, removable mask-plates, and armor bay diorama bases. The two will later be joined by Iron Patriot and an unrevealed character (Mandarin?).

I'm a little confused by the mk42 Iron Man which seems to sport grey ball-jointed hips (and that same color in other places), as I vaguely recall another color being used there. I'm not sure whether it references something from the film or if it's just something to do with a prototype. The MS Iron Man is otherwise a fairly nice figure that should stack relatively well against the upcoming Hasbro version. War Machine seems a bit more impressive. While several Marvel Select movie War Machine figures have already been released, I believe that this will be the first to sport ankle rockers. Assuming that the MS Iron Patriot uses this same mold, it should be more poseable than its upcoming Hasbro equivalent.

Photo gallery after the jump.
