Paper + Plastick wants to make your vinyls more fun
Is your record player not looking as cool as it could be? Give your music listening experience an extra boost with some custom made record toppers. Paper + Plastick released a series of custom record toppers done by different artists earlier this year.
Now they've added five more to the series done by MCA, Justin Nottke, DCAY, Tadpole, and Ben Lande. The best part is that these are all free! Available as a free downloadable PDF, you can make your own topper by just going to the website, picking the design you like, and following the tutorial.
All you need is a computer, an X-Acto knife … and of course skills in paper crafting would be helpful. Once assembled, these toppers can be placed right in the middle of your player where you can watch them spin round and round as your favorite record plays.

Miyazawa Model Expo 31: Kaiyodo's Revoltech
Products rarely survive by taking risks. Companies stick with what customers want from them and will take their money in the process. When it comes to Revoltech, there's a sure-fire way to make sure that the money they need will come rolling new: new Evangelion units. At MME 31, there's two new EVAs to get into your pocketbooks.
I can't complain this time around as these are actually new. I actually kind of like Unit 13, if only for it having 4 arms. On the other front, the new pony for Kaiyodo's Revoltech line is Monster Hunter and it seems no one is complaining. If they did complain, that'd be foolish as we are getting some nice figures for the series. June's release of the Hunter from the Zinogre series looks great in the literal flesh not to mention the upcoming version of said Zinogre monster.
While some have been disappointed with Revoltech lately, it's weird for me to say this, but it's future is looking good thanks to Evangelion figures.

MLP Plush Compilation 109: Let's have cake!
It's plushie time again! These Plushie Compilations always make my day, and who wouldn't want to snuggle with all of these cute ponies? There are so many I love this go around, but when isn't there? Chibipets has created several adorable filly plushies, and this time Derpy comes front and center. Epicrainbowcrafts created one of my favorite Vinyl Scratch plushies I've seen so far as well, and it sold for over US$550 on eBay!
One of the most creative pieces I enjoyed this time was iSaunter's Steven Magnet plush that actually has an interchangeable mustache. You can switch between his classic orange mustache, or Rarity's tail, which she had cut off and given to him. My absolute favorite piece of the gallery is the Princess Celestia plush by KarasuNezumi. She's jointed and stands over 26 inches tall, while her head also turns a full 360 degrees. It recently sold for US$1,800 on eBay. Be sure to check out Equestria Daily to learn more about the rest of the artists as well.

The Odd and Awkward ABC Family Promo of Batman Begins
I thought this was a joke. It still may be a joke, but I can’t tell. Everyone is reporting on this video being real, so I guess it must be…? ABC Family has succeeded in the ultimate troll and this is how the company really thought it could promote Batman Begins.

The spousal unit and I will also play at Universal for a few days. It's going to be so much fun.
Here is a quick picture I took of Inro the other day. I've been trying out different wigs. I like her in the darker shades. I did get a wonderful new wig from Ilaria yesterday and it will make it's appearance in FDQ soon.

[NSFW] Just go pre-order this lovely Celia Aintree
Full disclosure: Given the nature of source material Walkure Romanz, I really wanted to make a "joust" pun in that title, no matter how horrible it would have been. See what I avoid subjecting you all to? In any case, this one seems to have slipped under the radar a bit, but a nice reminder popped up to let us know the lovely Celia Cumani Aintree from the aforementioned visual novel is now available to fork over some cash for!
It should go without saying that she's certainly quite a bit more unrealistically curvy than I usually find enticing, and yet Kaitendo's worked some kind of magic that makes me really want this figure. I think it's a mix of the soft modeling and coloring mixed with some great looking hair, particularly the tight curls that thankfully avoid becoming so twisty as to earn the "twindrill" moniker.
There's an elegance in her expression I can get behind as well, especially that faint hint of a smile. While her figure may be a bit over the top, Kaitendo seems to have done some great work in making her surprisingly attractive and tasteful, even in the process of being half-stripped. Take a look for yourself and see if her July arrival is worth the ¥7,200.

Psychobob is building a Sentry
Psychobob is back with a new 3-D printed piece, and sticking with the Valve theme, he's made the Sentry Gun from Team Fortress 2. Be still, my beating little heart. Furthermore, Psychobob has made all three levels of the Sentry Gun ... or rather, parts that you can pick up to assemble the Sentry Gun at each level. Yes, he's selling them on his Shapeways shop.
All the pieces come unpainted, so you'll need to do the detailing that makes them look so pretty. Even though I don't normally indulge in kits of this nature, my TF2 love is compelling me to look into getting all three part sets.
For more photos, check out Psychobob's blog. We've also put a video of the Sentry Gun kits after the jump to check out. Do any of you out there feel like I do about this?
