Factory Entertainment's Gillman prop replica looks handy
I have to hand it to Factory Entertainment, they make some neat collectibles. Among their most recent endeavors is a prop relica of a mysterious web-handed fossil purportedly from the Devonian era that suggests a link between man and fish-man: perhaps best known as a fossilized Gillman hand, as seen in The Creature from the Black Lagoon (1954).
Factory Entertainment's Fossilized Creature Hand is a recreation of the original movie prop, based on old behind-the-scenes photos as well as the film itself. The end result is a neat little curio item that should appeal to die-hard Universal Monsters fans. The replica comes with a limited edition plaque and some promotional materials, all packaged within a box designed to look like a crate.
Hit the jump for a photo gallery and an unboxing video (theirs, not ours).

[NSFW] Aizu Project's Gisen Yagyu goes up for pre-order
It's been a while since I last saw a big, cold cast figure, but here's one: Aizu Project's 1/6-scale Gisen Yagyu from Hyakka Ryouran. "Cold cast" refers to the materials used in the manufacturing process of this figure. There are some advantages over the usual PVC but it does tend to make things expensive: ¥16,800 to be exact.
Gisen comes in two variants. There's a normal one with eye patch, and a Magan version with exposed eye and a different expression. Both are the same price, and you can cast them off if you like boobies. I consider myself a connoisseur and scholar of boobies, so that's a plus in my book (even if they do look kind of smushed together). Both versions come out in July.

PSA: Good Smile Company has a big guide to bootlegs
Here's a fact that should absolutely not shock you: Good Smile Company's products are popular. They're so popular, in fact, that they're often reproduced illegally and sold as bootlegs. And even the bootlegs are so popular that Good Smile Company saw fit to create a page with in-depth guides on how to spot them.
If you want to protect yourself from bootleg hell, do yourself a favor: go over that database and learn all the telltale signs of a bootleg. With practice, you can become as good at spotting fakes as Senator Vreenak. Just be aware that in the guide, official merchandise is highlighted in red.
Not all of the things on GSC's site can be spotted at a glance - some require you to open and closely inspect the merch. Really the best advice is to buy from trusted retailers. That's not always a brick and mortar store, mind you. Veila in the c-blogs ran into a retail store that sold bootlegs, but they've since closed down. There are still plenty out there, so always be careful and be educated!

Gold Luckitty KusoPon for WonderCon 2013
KusoVinyl / KusoPop will be releasing their gold colorway of the Luckitty version of their KusoPon mascot. This is my favorite color scheme so far and would look neat next to an Android Lucky Cat. They’ll be at booth #1176 if you want to pick one up for just $10. They’re limited to 200 pieces, so they may not show up online afterwards. Bummer!

Mika: Universal Tablet Stand by Bluelounge
Bluelounge, masters of making cable management sexy, have released a new tablet stand called Mika. It can hold a Nexus 7, Nook, iPad - whatever. It can even support smaller laptops like MacBook Airs and Retina MacBooks. It clearly takes a page from the iMac’s stand design. And I’m OK with that.

Makankosappo
There is a meme going around the Japanese Internets which seem to have been started by Japanese High School Girls called "Makankosappo" [マカンコウサッポウ]. The Kanji is 魔貫光殺砲 and Dragonball fans will know that its a move that Piccolo does which you can see in the video below.
Not sure why Japanese High School girls started this meme but its one of the reasons that prove Japanese High Schools are the best in the world. Period.
The collection of these photos collected from the Internets by Naver and you can find more from the trending topic on Twitter. Makankosappo caught on and now not just the school girls are doing it. Any of you care to try some Makankosappo shenanigans?

And her are more reasons why Japanese High Schools are the best in the world - its just like anime! You can see all the photos that I've taken in my school visits below.

War Tourist resin by Planet Domu x runDMB
Sam Griffiths aka Planet Domu and runDMB unveils their joint War Tourist project. Scheduled for a debut release at ToyCon UK on April 6th is the 4 inches tall pure white DIY resin cast, it would be accompanied by the first custom series of ten artists' pieces. Artists include: Jon-Paul Kaiser / Mister Lister / A Little Stranger / Stu Witter / runDMB / MapMap / Uncle Absinthe / Pete Fowler / Mimic / Mr. Gauky.
"Each blank War Tourist comes packaged in its own bespoke black cube box with a white canvas band printed with the back story and individually numbered. The artist series are boxed in the same packaging and have the artists logo printed on the band. The packaging for this piece was a big part of the design process as both runDMB and I believe that the package a piece comes in is as important as the piece itself." ~added Sam.
"To further celebrate the launch, we ran a competition to customise one of two giant, two foot tall fibreglass War Tourists. Both were made by myself and one was given to the talented Jon-Paul Kaiser to customise. The competition was won by Lisa Rae Hansen of ‘I break Toys’, she is currently doing a brilliant job of adding sculpted parts and painting the giant War Tourist. Both of these huge customs will be on display on their own plinths at the event." ~mentioned Sam.

Poker Night 2 Screenshots Leaked
Here are leaked screens of the sequel to Poker Night at the Inventory, Telltale Games’ Poker Night 2. The screens were leaked by an Xbox Live Marketplace asset site and posted on NeoGAF.
They reveal Ash from the Evil Dead film franchise, Sam from the infamous PC series Sam & Max, Claptrap from Borderlands, and Brock fucking Sampson from The Venture Brothers television series. GLaDOS from the Portal series also hovers over the poker table, but it’s not clear if GLaDOS is a playable character.
Telltale Games’ teaser site, The Key Party, also seems to confirm these characters.
