Hayward: Armed robbery takes place inside busy Toys R Us
Two men, one with a gun, robbed the Toys R Us at 24011 Hesperian Blvd. in Hayward on Tuesday afternoon, police said. No one was hurt, and the robbers got away with iPods. Police say a Pinole Toys R Us was also robbed earlier in the day and that the two robberies may be connected.

e-HOBBY puts exclusive Magnificus under the microscope
Last week e-HOBBY teased us with art and release plans for their upcoming exclusive Transformers Magnificus figure and as expected we now have an extensive gallery. Turns out he's exactly what people expected him to be, a black and red repaint of Reveal the Shield Perceptor with a new head modeled on the G1 figure. The gallery also includes a look at the packaging which is done in the Generations style, but uses a box rather than the card other deluxe Generations figures use. Unfortunately there's no sign of his Microman partner, Ga'mede. To celebrate the new figure's release e-HOBBY Magazine has put together a short article and gallery on the original figure which is available in English.
Unfortunately e-HOBBY does not ship outside Japan so if you want one you'll want to ask your favorite proxy to get this for you or go through an importer. There is a chance that the Transformers Collectors Club will be getting this as part of their partnership with e-HOBBY, but there's no word on that as of yet. I kinda want one, but I'm not so sure I'm willing to pay what it'll cost to get.

Tomopop Exclusive: Graphix Chick's Radiation Girl custom
As we reported on before, Apologies to Banksy is curating a show later this year featuring customs of their Rude Copper and Bomb Hugger figures. The first one revealed is from The Graphix Chick, with her Bomb Hugger custom called Radiation Girl. Given a magenta/seafoam green/black color pattern, Graphix Chick says the blindfolded girl hugging the atomic bomb is meant to symbolize how people don't know they're being exposed to "modern day physical and mental pollutants such as side effects of prescriptions drugs, misleading advertisements, the media and so on." That's a lot of message in a little figure.
You know what? Turns out my gut feeling when I reviewed the blank Bomb Hugger was right: with a bit of paint on them and some other work, the details do pop out a little more and some of the other issues (those shoulder seams in particular) disappear. Radiation Girl will be making a stop before Vinyl Haze at DeKorner's WonderCon booth (#1179), where you'll also be able to find the regular Apologies of Banksy figures on sale.
