The latest Hobby Japan scans brought with them a new Hyakka Ryouran figure: a 1/8-scale Keiji Maeda. If you're into well-developed women, it's tough to beat that body. Although Keiji is wearing a kimono-like outer layer, it's not really covering her up in the least. She still has short shorts (front flap unzipped of course) and the smallest microbikini-style top I've ever seen. When a figure makes you feel dirty for describing it, that's when you know you have a winner.

Looking past the ecchi factor, this is actually a very nice sculpt from Alter. I like to see elaborate hairstyles, flowing cloth, and gigantic accessories, and this figure has all of that. Bravo!

Charles Rodrieguez's custom pieces for his solo "FROWN" show are now listed and available via www.freak.com.ve/frown/ (I so wanted that Raccoon in Trash Can customized from an Android collectible too!) - featuring a variety of eye-pleasing artic-loving menagerie in super clean lines and straightup graphical splendidness, with none of that current "fashionable"-weathering paint applications. Loving his sense of design aesthetics!

Giant Robot is proud to present FACIAL RECOGNITION, a Three Person Group Exhibition featuring James Kochalka, Matt Furie and Mark Todd. Launch at GR2 is scheduled for April 6th with the show exhibiting thru April 24th, 2013. "All three artists are involved in some type of published work, some of which will be available at Giant Robot."- Check out the artists' description below:

"James Kochalka is a comic book artist, musician, and more hailing from Burlington, Vermont. His well known works include a new animated cartoon called "Superf**kers". Matt Furie is well known for his illustrative character works, at times featuring super heroes and villains in a world that’s all his own. Mark Todd is an illustrator and instructor at Art Center College of Design. His works are often amalgamations of layers that often comprise his own takes on classic comics covers."

Currently available for ourchase via maxtoyco.com is FLY TRAP / HAEJIGOKU-NINGEN (1st colorway) by Dream Rocket (remember their Cobraman?). Max Toy is currently taking pre-orders for this US$70 piece, with a tentative ship out after end of April / early May. Standing nearly 9 inches tall, they will be painted by Yajima by Dream Rockets.
