Under the Radar: Pre-order this cute Yukiho Beach Queen
Sometimes something cool or cute pops up and somehow it slips under the news radar. In this case I was browsing various stores' pre-orders and saw Wave's Yukiho from The IdolM@ster staring back at me. Even though reporting that pre-orders are now available for her is sort of old news I wanted to share with you all just how cute I thought she is.
I love how Wave captured Yukiho's more timid side from the expression on her face to her uncertain body language. Her hair has a natural, windblown look to it and there are many detail points to her figure. The straw hat seems to be textured and the bow on her hat adds a nice charm point. Her swimsuit isn't bad either, matching well. All the little frills on the swimsuit and the blue and white patterning looks good even on the more wavy parts. Appropriately, Yukiho comes with a shovel, presumably so she could bury herself with it? Well, maybe not if you decide to pre-order her!
Wave's Yukiho comes at an affordable list price of ¥3800 and should be shipping out in late August of this year.

1/6 Shadow Slinger & Funeral Horse by 3A Toys
3A Toys unveils images of their 1/6th "Shadow Slinger" from the Popbot series "In Service Of Him", featuring a mono-toned version of the Blind Cowboy and his horse. No product nor availability details as yet, but I reckon folks who missed out on the first colored release might have this on their list, or maybe even the folks who already got the colored version wants to build up a posse of gunslingers, yeh? Wicked.
Also, tis a nice alternative to 3A's robots, clones and zombie releases :)

Hollywood Collectibles' Underworld Lycan is a howl
Pre-orders have opened for Hollywood Collectibles' 1/4 scale Lycan statue. This 23-inch tall statue awesomely recreates the look of the werewolves from the Underworld films
Hollywood Collectibles' Lycan statue is available in either a standard version (limited to 750 pieces) or a exclusive edition (150 pieces) sold through their site which includes an art print and Underworld nameplate (adorned with Lycan heads). Both versions will run you the same US$330 if you buy directly from the Hollywood Collectibles.
Being ever a fan of werewolves, I'm digging the look of this statue (perhaps even more-so than how I recall them from the first film). The detail is fairly strong and the head-sculpt captures the ferocity of the Lycans. This seems like the perfect piece for a higher shelf.
The 1/4 scale Lycan statue is slated for a third quarter release.

New 'Iron Man 3' Posters in English & Japanese Versions
The above-left is the "English" version of the new "Iron Man 3" poster, hot after the heels of the 2nd trailer released not long ago, while the above-right is the Japanese (text) version of it, which somehow "makes" it seem more mysterious and anticipatory, doesn't it? LOL
And funnily enough, I've never seen pepper Potts in that hair-do in either trailers or tv spots shown yet hahahahaha

Design a Raaar!, get a chance to make it for Clutter show
There's a little contest Clutter is running with Dynamite Rex. The prize? A spot in the Raaar! Custom show coming Aug. 10 to Clutter Gallery (163 Main St., Beacon, N.Y.) alongside a roster of to-be-announced artists. The number of winners will be at least one, though the contest description says there could be more than that at the judge's discretion.
To enter, just download the template and get to work. The deadline is May 31, and if you win, you'll be asked to customize your figure exactly how you designed it, so keep that in mind (and don't try to do something crazy that you can't replicate *wink*).
