Cometdebris glitters up his February releases
Cometdebris will have three new releases this February, all going on sale Feb. 9 at 8 p.m. Pacific ( 11 p.m. Eastern, 4 a.m. Feb. 10 GMT, 1 p.m. Feb. 10 JST) in his shop, and all three are glitter-ific. For starters, there's the Tokoichi Seiju, a collab with Gargamel, done in a translucent pink glitter vinyl; it'll be on sale for US$90 . There's also a special Valentine Kappa Shonen, limited to 10 pieces for US$80, that features the kappa-themed character in a clear glitter vinyl wearing a pink heart T-shirt.
The one that caught my eye was the Chocolate Kappa Shonen, a one-off piece cast in a chocolate brown glitter vinyl and colored to look like something sweet (please don't eat him). He's US$125 if you want him. I'm a bit sad there's no Valentine Sametan, but who knows; maybe we'll get a special colorway of my favorite pants-wearing shark soon!

Let Carson Catlin's latest custom patch up your wounds
Carson Catlin has shared images of his latest custom, labeled All Stitched Up, which is being presented at Art Whino's "Art Without Borders" exhibition on February 23rd. This time around, the artists were tasked with making their pieces with a medical theme.
Carson's 8-inch figure features the iconic red cross on its forehead, which was cut away and then replaced with stitching that extends throughout the figure. It also features a red and white color theme that ties it all together nicely.
Check out images in the gallery, and be sure to visit Art Whino's exhibition page to catch updates and see which other artists are participating in the effort to raise money for Doctors Without Borders. Carson's piece will be going for US$600.

Keep Homura company, check out Mikatan's preview
For those of you attending Wonder Festival, Mikatan's blog is previewing a new version of Good Smile Company's 1/8-scale Akemi Homura figure. This is different than the one released last year, and is called the "You Are Not Alone" version. What is this, an Evangelion movie?
This version of Homura has a slightly different pose, more accessory parts, and different expressions. She has a normal serious face, and a smiling face with optional glasses (and braided hair). She also has arm parts for holding her usual bow and a different part for holding a golf club.
Mikatan says this version of Homura will be available at the festival (at the WonHobby booth) and for a limited time online. They'll be delivered in June, but we don't have any additional pre-order details yet.
