I just love Victorian Era dresses and also love creating penny rug pictures using wool felt and thought penny rug Victorian dress picture decorations would be nice. So, my Victorian Dresses Series was born.

Baby Belle Of The Christmas Ball is an e-pattern to create a 5" by 5" Victorian wool felt dress picture in a  purchased picture frame and a 3" Victorian dress ornament in a penny rug style design.

The felt dress piece is embroidered to the felt background and the felt dress overskirt piece is embroidered to the felt dress piece. Lace trims, seed beads, and other embellishments are sewn to the dresses and overskirt pieces.

The base and back lining are blanket stitch embroidered along the edges.

The picture  pattern can be made as just a penny rug wool felt blanket stitched picture or enclosed within a wall picture frame or tabletop picture frame.  The ornament is hung from a ribbon hanger.

The pattern includes text instructions, step-by-step color diagrams for finishing the penny rug dress picture and ornament from start to finish, full page picture layout sheet, and full page single sided pattern piece sheets. The pattern also includes step-by-step illustrations and instructions for Basic Blanket Stitching.

To me one of the most beautiful things in this world are flowers. It doesn't matter how hard you try you can NEVER capture their natural beauty - you just can't. It is perfection beyond human capabilities as far as I'm concerned.

Hubby knows I feel this way which is why every year for my birthday he surprises me with astonishing flower bouquets. Last month he got me another "Oh, my god!" arrangement.

You know, one of those floral arrangements that just cause your jaw to drop and your mouth to be wide open in astonishment. I just LOVE those kind of arrangements.

And, of course, I have to take a few pictures.  Okay, maybe more than a few.  I can't help it.  They just amaze me with their beauty.

I hope you would agree.

Following an announcement back in December regarding Breaking Bad figures, Mezco is already delivering with these smashing images of Walter White all suited up for work. He is sculpted by Trevor Grove, who also does work for Sideshow Collectibles.

Walter is 6 inches tall and Trevor explains that there are two versions, both featuring articulation and accessories which haven't been shown yet. Both figures are slated for release sometime this summer. See the two thumbnails in the gallery for full views at both prototypes!

For a treat, check out some more of Trevor's delightful sculpts while we wait for more news on Heisenberg.

Twin tails you like? if so then its time to celebrate - today is officially Twin Tail Day in Japan.
The Japan Anniversary Association has officially declared that Feb the 2nd is "Twin Tail Day" (ツインテールの日)

The Japan Anniversary Association websites explains how today became to be "Twin Tail Day."

The explanation mentions that the hairstyle is admired worldwide and how titles like Sailor Moon and fashion brands have been spreading the appeal of the twin tail. The reason why its Feb the 2nd is because of how 2/2 (Feb 2nd) overlap with each other donating the Twin Tail.

...Sounds like a good reason to celebrate the bodaciousness of twin tails!

There is even a website to promote and feature the wonderful world of Twin Tails - most of it covers only 3D girls at the moment though.

I always keep up with what goes in in Japan through Twitter Trends and discovered that I should have been celebrating all day today ><
But folks in the US still have a day ahead of them to break out the champaign.

Folks in Japan have been celebrating by drawing a load of twin tail girlies - check out this search query.

It's that time of year again for me to drool over my secret passion - baby faced dolls. I probably won't be adding new MA dolls to my collection this year as I still look for deeply discounted ones from several years ago.
For this post I will show only the 21" Cissy and 10" Cissette dolls.

21" Madame Alexander-1923 is a fully articulated Cissy dressed as she would've been in 1923 when she began the company. Limited Edition of 125 dolls.

21" Scarlett O'Hara Prayer Dress is a fully articulated Cissy with green eyes and wavy, center-parted, shoulder length brunette hair pulled up on the sides and held with a red bow.

10" Sylvia From the Ballet Sylvia is a fully articulated Cissette.

10" Snowflake from The Nutcracker Collection is a fully articulated, Cissette with blue eyes and upswept black braids wearing a magnificent white tutu.

10" fully articulated, Cissette Celebrates Madame's 90th Anniversary.

Queen Victoria, having sat on the throne for 63 years, is the longest reigning monarch in British history. She set the tone for many aspects of British life but none more so than fashion. She is a 10" fully articulated Cissette.

10" Zelda Fitzgerald - infamous wife of writer F. Scott Fitzgerald - is a fully articulated Cissette.

In Disney's new prequel to The Wizard Of Oz, we come to know the Great Oz as Oscar Diggs, with brown eyes, brown painted hair and goatee.

 10" Evanora, fully articulated with brown eyes and side-parted, brunette hair pulled back and styled into a loose bun, looks more beautiful than you'd ever expect the future Wicked Witch of the East to look.

Coffee or Tea with Pan Am, a fully articulated stewardess, as they were called, with short, curly Taffy Tan hair, dressed as she would be in 1970.

10" Scarlett O'Hara Honeymoon Dress is a fully articulated Cissette with green eyes and brunette hair pulled back to a low bun at the nape.

 10" Dorothy in the Poppy Fields is a fully articulated Cissette.

10" Wicked Witch of The West and The Winged Monkeys is a fully articulated, green-faced meanie who has dark eyes and black hair pulled up into a top-knot.

 10" Glinda The Good Witch and The Lullaby League is a fully articulated, Cissette, with blue eyes and long, curly Taffy Tan hair, wearing a gorgeous pink gown.

And there is so much more. If I were going to pick my favorites, I'd get the Madame Alexander 21" Cissy holding the two little dolls. The Cissette I like best is the Scarlett O'Hara Honeymoon Dress doll.  The cutest ones are the Oz dolls. So adorable!

Kotobukiya has released a preview gallery for their upcoming 1/10 scale Jango Fett ArtFX+ statue. Jango Fett, best known as Boba Fett's father and the genetic material for a clone army, will stand over seven inches tall and interchangeable arms for a blaster firing pose.

Although called a statue, Jango Fett (like previous entries) is really a pre-painted, snap together plastic model kit but you'd never know that by looking at him. Jango Fett seems nothing short of spectacular between the level of sculpting and solid paintwork. To top that off, the ArtFX+ Jango Fett offers two very cool poses between a passive "standing there" and that getting ready to fire pose. He also comes with interchangeable rocket backpacks, giving the option to replicate his appearance on either Kamino or Geonosis. 

Jango Fett appeared in Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones where he served as a supporting antagonist. He was a Mandalorian Knight who, in addition to working for Count Dooku, had supplied his genetic material for the clone army prior to the film and, in exchange, received one of the cloned children whom he raised as his son. Despite being a less prominent antagonist, Jango Fett demonstrated all the coolness that Boba Fett failed to deliver on in the original films. Perhaps his coolest moment was killing a giant beast in one shot... which was unfortunately followed by being decapitated by a jedi whose wallet had BAMF written on it.

U.S Release Trailer for New Studio Ghibli Film

Studio Ghibli is undoubtedly one of the best anime studios of all time. Ghibli has put out some of the best animated films at a consistent rate. They are back with their follow up to last year’s well received Secret World of Arrietty.  From Up On Poppy Hill is the story of a girl dealing with the loss of her father while the 1964 Tokyo Olympics’ construction crew threatens their school house.

Directed by Goro Miyazaki (Tales From Earthsea) and written by Hayao Miyazaki.

We’re Going to MegaCon

I don’t know how many of our followers are from Florida, but just a heads up to those going to MegaCon 2013: We’re going too. Well, I am at least.

The con’s from March 15th through the 17th in Orlando, Florida. Media guests include Patrick Stewart, Lou Ferrigno, Billy West, Paul Blake, and a handful of other celebrities from Star Wars/Star Trek, and voice actors. Comic book guests include Neal Adams, Jason Adams, Frank Cho, Gail Simone, George Perez, and a TON of others I can’t even list without this being an obnoxiously long post.

So yeah, come out, I’ll see you. I’m taking photos (A giant gallery will come, cosplayers. I promise.) and doing a write-up of the event the week after. I might even take video. Maybe some of you will be in them.

AWESOME Street Fighter III Fan Film Trailer

Artist Victor Hugo Queiroz has created this amazingly awesome Street Fighter fan film called Street Fighter III - Fuurinkazan. Up top is a trailer for what he’s been working on for the last couple of years, which shows Ryu fighting Hugo, with a special guest appearance at the end of the footage. Super awesome footage.
