‘POKÉMON’ X ‘PERSONA’ NEEDS TO BE A THING

Earlier this week Nintendo announced that they’re working on a Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem crossover game for WiiU. This got me thinking: could you imagine a Pokemon X Persona game? IMAGINE IT, DAMMIT!!!

They’re practically made for each other! They both involve collecting monsters and making them evolve as you use them to fight other monsters, monsters are weak and resistant to certain types of attacks, and both games have elements of youth angst. Make it happen, Nintendo and Atlus. Make it happen.

Real talk: I had to take a break from Persona 3 FES a few months back because my Vita charger broke, but now I’m back into it and slowly discovering that it’s one of the top 5 games I’ve ever played in my life. Mad addicting, for reals.

I’m at a point where I care less about saving the world from Shadows or whatever and more about making Yuko my gf. We totally held hands yesterday and I made her blush. Chick’s fuggin’ adorable.

Why can’t there be more handheld games that let you date cute anime schoolgirls. And why was it impossible to type that last sentence without feeling like a total creep? Don’t judge me!

What do you think about ice hockey for kids? I grew up in a hockey family. Both my younger brother and sister played on multiple teams. When I was in high school my younger brother’s team won the national title for their age group. He then went on to play Division 1 college hockey for [...]

Skip over to pre-order se.kirara's Yu screenshot

On the cuter side of things, Max Factory is ready to let you pre-order this cutie from visual novel se.kirara. While I'm not entirely sure how racy the game can get, Yu Kawamura here is pretty much as inoffensive as it gets, though that's not necessarily a bad thing!

She's very endearing, cheerful and in a nice breezy pose that adds a bit to her otherwise simple outfit. I especially like the little additions of pin and ribbon in her hair, though her clasped hands are a nice touch as well. You'll be able to pick her up in May for about ¥7,429, and she certainly seems dressed for it!

Gift's bubbly Nanoha preparing for resale screenshot

With the impending release of their giant Fate, it should be no surprise that Gift is preparing to re-release the matching Nanoha from earlier this year, allowing fans who missed her the first time around a chance to make sure the pair remains as inseparable as ever.

While I'm more a fan of her companion, I'd find it hard to pass this one up even with the inevitable price tag that's as big as she is. As a big supporter of the series, it's hard to keep the two apart! She's not quite ready to pre-order yet, but the option should be available early next month, with her release to follow in July.

Kotobukiya's gorgeous Sena given a second lease on life screenshot

There are quite a few figures of Haganai's Sena out there by now, but Kotobukiya's stunningly crafted version still remains my favorite. I've always been disappointed that I couldn't pick her up during her all too brief appearance last August, but it seems like I wasn't the only one. Koto will be allowing fans a second chance this June, so I suggest you jump on the opportunity quickly!

I've already gushed to no end about her the last time she showed up, and of course the same holds true now. She's easily the most well-done Sena I've seen, and that unique art style and muted coloring really gets to me every time I see her. I'm definitely not going to let her slip through my fingers this time, and you'll be wanting to come up with about ¥6,800 if you'd like to do the same!

90’s Nostalgia: The Tales from the Crypt Saturday Morning Game Show

So when I was five years old, Tales from the Crypt was a pretty fucking huge deal for HBO. My father always watched it and I was kind of always around to squeal or run away from his television set while it played, but the memories and nostalgia always lingered of the Crypt Keeper and his fucked up tales of horror. But something crossed my mind the other day and I don’t think many people remember this, but do you remember the Crypt Keeper’s gameshow?

I hardly do. With the help of Google/Wikipedia/YouTube, I’m watching it over and thinking: How in the fuck did this crazy ass Saturday morning children’s game show air, of all networks, on CBS? And how did it last for one year?

The show was called Secrets of the Crypt Keeper’s Haunted House, and it involved kids going through physical challenges, Legend of the Hidden Temple style. They had a section of the challenge titled “The Swamp From Hell and used a shit ton of bad CGI to animate it.

Thanks to a user on YouTube, an episode is on the Internet to peep in three different parts. I guess the uploader, bojibbles, was a contestent on the show. Enjoy this hidden gem with me, because my brain doesn’t want to shit bricks alone at remembering this show at random.
