Fujoshi Shops Tokyo
The other day we took a look at the flagship store of Animate in Ikebukuro - today we take a look at all the Fujoshi goodies that they have - its so much that I'm dedicating a whole post to it ^^;
If BL (Boys Love), Yaoi and merchandise of good looking boys is your cuppa tea then you will probably want to pay them a visit soon.
If you are not familiar with the term "fujoshi" then it means "female otaku" and is written like 腐女子 [ふじょし]。
The address of the Animate Ikebukuro branch as follows - get off at JR Ikebukuro station on the Yamanote line.
東京都豊島区東池袋1-20-7

Hot Toys presents its new Hall of Armor for your Iron Men
You've paid a lot of money for your Hot Toys Iron Man collection. Every armor, Mark I through VII, is out and fully posed. However, you've gotten tired of seeing them out taking advantage of all those points of articulation so it becomes time to put them into a box. It's okay, though because they're boxes like Tony Stark's. Just like him, you'll have spent a lot of money to put armors in a light up box.
All jokes aside, Hot Toys is allowing you to have your own Hall of Armor. Each box allows you to house your armor under an assortment of LED light and you can connect them to form a full Hall of Armor, as featured in Stark's garage. Each hall also comes with a sticker (yes, a sticker) which you can place on the outside glass to replicate a schematic of the armor. It's a nice little package until you factor in the price.
How much does all of this cost? Each hall will cost you $129.99. That's right, $129.99 for a single box. If you decide to buy the 4-pack, that will run you $469.99. Mind you, if you actually have each armor, this is going to cost nearly a grand to display. I'm sorry, that is just ridiculous for what you're getting. I just can't fathom spending $1000 on a display set unless it was an actual piece of furniture. If you are feeling rich enough for this though, I suggest donating a tidy sum to charity, then you can go ahead and purchase this with a clear conscience. The Iron Man Hall of Armor will become available in April.

Comiket 83: Prism Nana Nendoroid prototypes
Magical Suite Prism Nana is a relatively new anime but that hasn't stopped Good Smile Company from choosing the show's three heroines to be Nendoroids. Prototypes of the firey Itaru, earth-embued Asuka, and water-wielder Kotone have been spotted over at Comiket 83 in Japan. Even though the show hasn't made it to the English-speaking market yet, I am sure many of you have seen promotional images of for the anime (if you haven't there is a display is the gallery). Hopefully the finished figures will have the same bold, brilliant colors as those I associate with the girls' outfits.
What is your take on this, readers? Are you excited for these latest prototypes?

Volks give their own version of a taste of heaven
While many eyes are on Comiket, which happened over this weekend, Volks decided to hold their own event called Hobby Tengoku and showed off some of their products, old and new to visitors.
At the top of the list is the debut of Bertille Alchiselle, another heroine from Walkure Romanze (Seriously, how many girls are there from that game?). She was first announced a few weeks ago on the event site but this is the first time the public has been able to see (and place an order) for her. I'm somewhat tempted myself, but after getting Akane, I don't think I could stretch myself for another. Not yet anyway.
Also along for the ride is Akiyama Yukari, another character from Girls und Panzer. She'll be joining her captain, Miho, as a charagumin kit in February. Probably at Wonder Festival. Also on the Charagumin line is Revy from Black Lagoon. There's no kit for her because she will be on sale at the start of the new year, January 1st in fact! Look out for her at the New kit Exhibition!
T-ELOS was also shown again along with an old favourite in the shape of KOS-MOS. Man, I wish mine looked that pristine! Still waiting for T-ELOS to be shipped as well! Soon...
Bringing up the rear are older Charagumin kits such as Gaury and a chibi Lina Inverse from Slayers, Etna with her prinnies from Disgaea and the main ladies of Valkyria chronicles! We also get another glimpse of Amil from Shining Hearts (still unpainted, unfortunately) and Nagisa from Phantasy Star Portable 2 Infinity.
Looks like we have some things to look forward to from Volks for the new year. I'm sure they'll have some surprises in store for us as well.
