I know of quite a few friends are looking forward to 3A Toys' SHOGUN TK release, and their wish will be granted when they go on sale/pre-order December 20th via Bambalandstore.com … and there are ten of them! No price point revealed as yet for these 1/6th-scaled warriors, but at least we have three SHOGUNS on preview, and no doubt more to come closer to release date.

The Large Pinecone Tree
Another one of my favorite Christmas decorations is a pine-cone tree that I made in October of 2002. I wrote about my pine-cone trees in a Linda's Blog post entitled "Dried White Pine - It Was A Good Idea - Or Was It?"
This pine-cone tree stands 30" tall and has gold bead garland and a combination red/green aluminium leaves garland wrapped around it. White snowflakes that I cut from a winter flower sprig are glued intermittently throughout. Red heart and red apple ornaments are hanging all over the tree and it has a gold star glued on top.
My pine-cone tree is one of my favorites. I think it looks good in any display I put it in and hope you do, too.

Salute summer with YuruYuri's Akari
While some lucky few of us may be enjoying the onset of Winter, the rest of us are wondering why Christmas has decided to be grill weather rather than the season for yule logs and hot cocoa. An apt pre-order, then, is Alphamax's upcoming Akari from the adorable YuruYuri, ready to hit the beach.
While she may not be available until June, you can get your order in now and realize she probably wouldn't be chilly even if she hit shelves tomorrow. As far as appeal goes, it's hard not to like the cuteness permeating the series from start to finish, a cuteness that definitely shows in this figure.
Akari is captured to a tee, even if the swimsuit and inner tube pose has now become the de facto summer standard. You could do worse with ¥6,800 though, and hopefully we'll see the rest of the cast at some point as well.
