This year's Toys for Tots drive is nearing its end and the program is still in great need of donations. WFTV's Jorge Estevez met one woman whose family is on the list for toys. She said she is grateful for the program. The toys that have been collected through the Toys for Tots program will go from donation boxes to families like the Ducots of Poinciana. "It is all about them, to try and make ...
Every action figure collector knows what it’s like to wake up on that special day, find that giant box, and open that toy you’ve been dreaming about all year. DASH also knows how wonderful that feeling is, and that’s why we’re trying to give five lucky collectors the Christmas of their dreams and their childhood. [...]
President Obama and White House Staff converged at The Rodon Group’s facility last Friday to show support for American manufacturing companies, the jobs they create, and the working middle class. The President’s backdrop was colorfully filled with K’NEX building toys, including an American flag made of 49,000 K’NEX pieces. “I want to reward manufacturers like [...]
LEGO has been creating their colorful plastic bricks to entertain kids and adults alike since 1949. Today the sets by LEGO fly off the shelves as one of the best selling toys for kids, as well as adults. Signature sets feature a variety of settings from popular movies like Star Wars to imaginative scenes depicting [...]
The Blue Angels turned their C-130 aircraft, affectionately nicknamed “Fat Albert,” into a modern Santa’s Sleigh with a mission to help the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation save Christmas for many children still living with destruction from Superstorm Sandy. The Blue Angels arrived at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst with Santa on board after picking up an [...]
Here's a quick post to share these wonderful pics sent in to us by a Bat-Blog Fan named Paul. He wanted to share that he recently found this brand-new set of BATMAN CARS at his local Target Store. This is a 5-pack of Matchbox Diecast Cars that are all decorated with "Batman Theme" artwork. It's kinda weird that none of these cars are an actual Batmobile. But hey, they're still cool!
Speaking of Batmobiles... Also at Target. It looks like Mattel has re-released their HOT WHEELS BATMAN: DARK KNIGHT Movie 5-Pack that comes with a Bat-Copter ( weird, NOT in the film ), The Joker Hot Rod Car ( Also, NOT in the film, ha ha ), a Black Tumbler Batmobile, Gotham City Police Car, and a GCPD Bank Truck. I gotta say that I totally love that Jokermobile, very cool! Also, I was at Target a few days ago and they had a TON of these so they should be semi-easy to find. ( Thanks Paul for sending the great pics! ).
For decades, the Marine Toys for Tots foundation has been collecting and dispensing toys at Christmas to kids who might otherwise be forgotten. This year, however, there is something of a controversy
Funko has announced the Funko Pop Marvel Series 2. They actually have some pretty good characters coming for series 2. There is going to be: Deadpool Dr. Doom Ghostrider Dark Phoenix Beast Silver Surfer These figures are going to come in the standard Funko Pop! packaging and be available for purchase on the 24th of
Over at the DISCOVERY CHANNEL Website one of their Bloggers, a Reporter named Alice Truong, wrote an excellent article titled, " How Much Does the Batmobile Cost?". She explains that there is a website where a bunch of Students got together and researched every "Comic Book Batmobile" reference they could find & then averaged out the price.

Oh, by the way, that photo up above has nothing to do with the Discovery Channel, their article or research. It's just a Humor Photo I found of some guy's Custom Riding Lawn Mover, ha ha!
I'm not sure if DC Collectibles came out with these figures to celebrate Frank Miller's Classic Graphic Novel or were they made to hype the release of the recent THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS Animated Film DVD???
Either way, who cares! These are really cool & the gang’s all here in this special “The Dark Knight Returns” 4-Pack BOX SET featuring Action Figures of Batman, Robin ( Carrie Kelley! ), Superman, and The Joker!
Each figure comes with a Diorama-styled base ( the sidewalk & street lamp ). The full set will have a suggested retail price of about $60 and you can look for them around the beginning of the new year, January 30th, 2013.
Also, if you order these through our Special Sponsor then you can save 20% off the regular price by pre-ordering them now, CLICK HERE!
Wrestling to get clothes over a baby’s wobbly head. Fussing with all those snaps. Sound familiar? We are so excited about the “arrival” of a SMART, NEW babywear solution created by NYC mom and design guru, Ruth Waddingham, who knew there had to be an easier way to get her newborn son dressed every day!... Kotobukiya's Cu-Poche Saber is now available for pre-order. This hotly heroine of Fate/stay night will be among the first characters to grace Kotobukiya's Cu-Poche line.
As previously mentioned, Saber comes with two versions of Excalibur (normal and a clear "invisible" one), an attack that clips onto the sword, Excalibur's sheath (Avalon), alternate hands, and a stand. Apparently she gets three faces (cool, angry, & smiling) rather than just two. Additionally, as one of readers noticed, the figure will have magnets in her feet and in the base of the stand. Cheating much, Kotobukiya?
While the magnets just add more awesome to this figure, I'm a little leery of Saber's balance since we aren't seeing the figure posed conventionally. Yes, there's some footwork going on there and all but we can't tell how much of that is owed to the magnets. Otherwise, Cu-Poche Saber is still a gorgeous figure.
For all you armored girl afficionados, Kotobukiya's Cu-Poche Saber has a list price of ¥3,800 and is scheduled for a June release. However, I want you to remember if you feel an attraction it could just be the magnets.

Hey look, it's FREEing's 1/4-scale Kuroko Shirai! Kuroko is of course everyone's favorite sister-complex Judgment member from A Certain Scientific Railgun and A Certain Magical Index. Unlike many 1/4 scale figures that I see, this one isn't terrible. I'm not big on the sexy look for middle schoolers, but to be fair that is definitely an outfit Kuroko would wear.
If having a Kuroko the size of a human baby is something you want to spend money on, the pre-orders are up now. The asking price is ¥17,905 so you'd better be pretty sure you want one. She'll ship in May 2013.

A disposable income means that toys are much more fun as an adult. Here's what we'd love to see on our Christmas list.
