Executive Editor & Senior Vice President of DC’s Vertigo Imprint Steps Down
Karen Berger has been the Editor and Senior Vice President of DC Entertainment’s Vertigo imprint for nearly 20 years, and today is the day she is choosing to step down. She will be leaving in March 2013 to ensure new leadership is well transitioned.
Comic Book Resources notes that Vertigo has published nearly 300 new literary properties during the last 20 years, but Berger says she is ready for a professional change and pursuing new opportunities.
[NSFW] Yamato's Dendrobium Sisters try on some new colors
Yamato and Cerberus Project teamed up to make the 1/6-scale Dendrobium Sisters a while ago. It seems like they were popular enough to warrant a comeback. This time they'll be in slightly different colors.
The pink-haired Azalee's outfit has gone from its original red to black. Violet now has a pearl white outfit with black accents, which still looks pretty similar to the original color scheme. They both cast off too, if you're just not a fan of clothing in general. But then why get the figures if you won't be showing off the alternate colors?
Of these I think I like Violet better. Azalee has something weird going on with her face that doesn't sit right with me. On top of that, Azalee's accessory is a phone whereas Violet gets an iguana. They'll both ship in April for ¥10,800.

Asuna Figure
More photos taken at the Kotobukiya office! This time we take a look at 1/8 scale Asuna from Sword Art Online (SAO). Pre-order info should be up at the Kotobukiya site later this month where the official product title will be "Asuna -Aincrad-"
Is it just me or did Kotobukiya figures just get a huuuuge boost in the detail of their figures? The details on Asuna are pretty awesome. The flowing hair, detail on her uniform, sword and base too.
There is a poll embedded in this article.

And here is a trailer for those who have not seen SAO yet.
And this is what Asuna would look like in your workspace.
While most figures are sculpted to look good from the front, Kotobukiya Asuna looks great when you display her on your desk as she is leaning back a bit - you get to look into her eyes as you work ^^;
And that was Asuna who will be announced soon on the Kotobukiya site. You can also keep your mince pies peeled on the following trusted online retailers who should have her up for pre-order soon too.

Additional Cu-Poche Saber photos summoned
New photos of Kotobukiya's Cu-Poche Saber have appeared on Danny Choo's blog and, let me say, they are fairly stunning. These photos show off Saber's sword accessories as well as demonstrating the figure's adorawesomeness (because that's totally a word now).
Saber will come with two swords (Excalibur and the invisible Excalibur), a swirling energy attack effect that snaps onto Excalibur, and Excalibur's scabbard/sheath, Avalon, as well an alternate face. While I was already impressed by Cu-Poche Saber's sculpt and paintwork, these photos have sold me on the figure yet again. Cu-Poche Saber is a superb rendition of Saber in the chibi style and strikes me as being a cut above her nendoroid counterpart.
Anybody else convinced? Or are you non-plussed by yet another Saber?
