Index's Kaori Kanzaki bares all in this new pre-order
One of the few series in my massive backlog that I've actually managed to complete lately was the rather popular To Aru Majutsu no Index. I'd seen the first bits as they aired, but never caught up to the story until just recently. Sadly, despite slogging through to the end, the popularity was lost on me. However, this upcoming hottie from Penguin Parade is almost enough to make me change my tune!
It helps that Kaori was one of the few characters I enjoyed, but this rendition of her certainly just ups the appeal immensely. With an outfit and behavior like this, that affiliation with the church is certainly a curious thing! It should go without saying that I really love pretty much everything about this figure, from her hair to her outfit to her pose. I even find myself drawn to her facial expression, though it seems a bit calm for Miss Kanzaki here.
While she's only a tiny 1/8 scale, Penguin Parade seems to have packed a lot of appeal into a small package. Fans will be able to grab her in April for around ¥8,800.

Prepare to strike and grab this Choun Shiryu re-release
Griffon is on a role with re-releases lately, following up the previous kitty Kanu with another Choun figure. I've never quite been able to tell why, out of all the Ikkitousen girls, Choun seems to be the only one even remotely approaching the popularity of Ryomou and Kanu. While she's never been my favorite, I still can't deny the appeal of this pretty badass figure.
With sword poised to be drawn, Choun looks ready to lash out at any foe. I've always loved the speed of iaido, so I'm a big fan of the similar battle-prepared pose. She's also sporting some of the most wicked looking hair I've seen on a figure in some time. I'd probably like to pick her up for that alone, to be honest.
To complete the package, she's also got multiple expressions, and I particularly like the one with her eyes closed, as if readying herself with surprising calmness given the clear tension in the design. You'll be able to pick her up this coming March for around ¥9,500.
