Amazon's review of Toronto could escalate tension with Trump
Amazon.com Inc's inclusion of Canada's largest city on a list of 20 finalists for a massive new campus could escalate tensions between the tech giant and U.S. President Donald Trump. Amazon said on Thursday that Toronto and 19 U.S. locales made the first cut in a contest to find a second headquarters where it promises to invest $5 billion and create 50,000 jobs. As it reviews Toronto, Amazon must weigh whether advantages including Canada's open immigration policy, top technical schools and universal healthcare outweigh any potential blowback from Trump, who has heavily pressured U.S. companies to invest domestically.

Reproduction 1962 Barbie Dream House with Doll
Mine came directly from Mattel although they somehow lost my order and screwed up in a few other ways. This was a big box weighing about 10 pounds.
Like a child without supervision, I snapped all the pieces out of the five heavy coated cardboard sheets before reading directions or planning.
In any event, I managed to make it through the furniture except for the lamp. I couldn't get the lamp right and I think I lost or tossed two plastic comb-like pieces that hold the sides in place. The rest was all very easy to do and came out surprisingly sturdy.
A few other Mattel dolls were thrown in along with the furniture and here are the pictures.
So now that I have this gigantic thing, what am I going to do with it?
___________
If you plan to purchase one, you can get if for various prices other than list. Check your local Walmart, Target and other large stores. eBay has many for sale. Some are offering free shipping as does Mattel on orders of $39. plus.

A Twitter Inc Acquisition Is Back on the Table
Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR) has been roaring higher after a strong end to 2017. TWTR stock is up 60% from its lows in August. While a buyout from Walt Disney Co (NYSE:DIS) is seemingly off the table thanks to its M&A deal with Twenty-First Century Fox Inc (NASDAQ:FOX, NASDAQ:FOXA), other suitors are still there.
Fighting games (& DLC) to look forward to in 2018
[The year is 2018. Mankind has fled to the moon. The only things left to look forward to on the Earth's surface are androids and fighting games. So what's there to look forward to in 2018? Here is a probably-not-comprehensive but in-depth look at this year's fighting games, brought to you by Virtua Kazama. ~Marcel]
2017… What a year it was. We've seen a lot of things happened during that year, with the most important one being the release of the Nintendo Switch. The verdict: It sold 10 Million copies in its first year.

To the surprise of nobody, Call of Duty: WWII is the best-selling game of 2017
If you would have asked me at the beginning of 2017 what I thought the best-selling game of that year would be, I would have said, "Whatever the Call of Duty game is." Why? That's easy. Since 2014, the best-selling game of every year in the US has been a Call of Duty title. From Advanced Warfare to 2016's good-but-not-great Infinite Warfare, Call of Duty is nigh unbeatable. Hell, Call of Duty has dominated the top spot at the end of the year charts since 2009, only giving up the throne once in 2013 to Grand Theft Auto V.
Yes, Call of Duty: WWII 2017' s best seller despite facing such other platinum sellers as Destiny 2 and an incredibly strong NBA 2K18.

The fourth Digimon Adventure tri. movie digivolves into a limited U.S. theatrical release
As we wait for the final episodes of Digimon Adventure tri., the sequel series where the original cast are teenagers, to launch, Toei Animation and Shout! Factory are showing the fourth movie, Digimon Adventure tri: Loss, for one day in the U.S. on February 1. Just like the previous showings, it'll feature the English dub.
While I wasn't a fan of the direction the films took during the third one, I'm glad that people will get to see a good number of the voice actors from Saban's version of the original series reprise their roles. That, and I love that we're getting more anime screening events in the U.S. Since the fifth and sixth movies are getting this treatment down the road, these showings could serve as a trip down memory lane.
One of the great parts of Digimon Adventure tri.'s treatment in the West is its home release having the original Japanese audio. Considering that Shout! Factory plans to release Loss and its sequels on Blu-ray and DVD, I'm hoping that it could lead to the company releasing uncut versions of the Digimon TV shows.
For those who want to return to the Digital World, you can head to Fathom Event's Website to see if it's showing in your location.

Mamma mia! Nintendo sold 1.5 million Switch systems across the US in December
You know, I'm starting to think this Switch doo-hickey might be catching on.
Two weeks after Nintendo announced the Switch is the fastest selling console ever in the United States, the NPD Group is giving us a look at just how the company did it. December's sales numbers are in and the Nintendo Switch sold a staggering 1.5 million consoles during the period. That's more than it sold at launch and enough to push it past 4.8 million consoles sold in the US over the last 10 months. Coming in second for the month was the Xbox One X.
Not only is the console-handheld hybrid selling well, but so are its games. Super Mario Odyssey, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Splatoon 2, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and Xenoblade Chronicles 2 all made the Top 20 list for last month. Also on that list are Pokemon Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon, two titles that no doubt ended up with the some of the 750,000 handhelds from the 3DS family that were purchased in December. That puts the 3DS above 21 million units sold in the US and marks its best single month in three years.
