Wonder Festival 2017 (Winter): Flare
Since their resurrection and rebranding from the Yamato name, Flare has been keeping pretty low key on their releases, slowly building up their catalogue with some interesting figures and that trend is set to continue.
The standout figure of the booth was definitely the Yamashita Shunya designed Ayanami Rei. This design is based around her plugsuit from Evangelion: Q but I'm sure that others will remember the original figure released way back when.
Flare also showed off an unpainted Gwendoline from Dragons Crown in her non-combat dress garb. It's early days but the figure does look promising. One should probably wait to see a painted version first though. We are also still awaiting the planned figure of Oswald and it should be interesting to see if it will be designed to accompany the Gwendoline figure in some way.
Flare were also first off the post by announcing a figure of 2B from upcoming game Nier Automata. I'm sure that this will just be the start of a flood of 2B figures later, I mean she's already received a ridiculous amount of fanart and the game isn't even out yet!!

Wonder Festival 2017 (Winter): Native
Normally, here at Tomopop, we tend to avoid the 100% NSFW coverage, which I feel is a shame because there are some really REALLY good Ero figures out there which look classy without going too far into the realm of lewd but I digress.
As such, you don't normally find posts from makers which focus exclusively on adult figures but some things just need to be posted. Like this Van! You're all probably thinking "what the heck is it?" but if I tell you that the official name for it is "magic mirror van", I think you start getting the idea.
I have no idea if this will actually be something which people can buy but I could not let this slip by without even a mention!! Would you buy this magic mirror van? Wonder Festival 2017 (Winter): Megahouse
Megahouse seem to be pretty happy to rest on its established lines and not really rocking their boat and I'm sure that's fine for many.
Wonder Festival showed us more P.O.P figures and some other figures based on popular Jump manga such as Gintama and D.Gray Man (is that still popular though?), though it was good to see more Desktop Army figures as well, even if they do look as though they may just be recolours.
Having said all that, I'm sure that they will be first on board with the new Queens Blade series which was recently announced. They were the ones who gave us many of the first bunch of Queens Blade figures and I don't see them stopping.
