Good Smile's NYCC booth exclusives revealed
So, this morning, I posted about the figures Good Smile would have at their NYCC booth for display and sale. And that last sentence ... yes, I was tipping my hand a bit (nice guess, Gekokujou). But now, we've got the OK from Good Smile to reveal the exclusives for NYCC!
The exclusives are, in fact ... past exclusives! It's a chance to get old favorites again, particularly the following:

- Wonder Festival 2011 Winter:figma Mato Kuroi: School Uniform ver., Nendoroid Petit: Mato and Yomi Set

DrilOne and Frank Kozik are added to Cavey show's roster
We've already shown you four of the twelve artists (check back here and here for a refresher) who will be taking part in Cavey's American Cousins plush show, the first exhibit for Holly Stanway's roly-poly plush to be hosted on U.S. shores. This time around, I'll be revealing two more artists who have customized Cavey toys for the November 10 show, Frank Kozik and DrilOne.
Frank's plush looks shockingly similar to his hedgehog Heathrow (here's a post on its holiday version). I definitely wouldn't mind seeing a plush of that spiny fellow. DrilOne's round dude is bit more mysterious. I see some blood, determined eyes, faux leather, and the numbers 0 and 6. I'll be excited to see the entire piece and get a better, more cohesive idea of the custom.
Cavey's American Cousins pop-up art show will take place for one night (Saturday, November 10) in Los Angeles at the Cat and Fiddle Pub. Each custom piece on display at the event will up for auction beginning on November 3 and ending on November 10. More information about the event and auction can be found at Holly's Cavey blog.
It's time for Plush You!

blogLIFE: The Perks Of Being A Semi-Popular Geek Lifestyle Blogger
Sometimes brands want to reach a certain audience. Depending on how specific the audience is, big brands occasionally turn to smaller blogs for help. For the past year I’ve been working as a brand ambassador for Virgin Mobile doing simple things like sharing tweets on twitter, Facebook posts, and the occasional write-up on Albotas.com.
Virgin invited myself and 24 other bloggers (dubbed the Virgin Mobile 25) to Maryland for their annual FreeFest music festival, a free day-long music fest that asks attendees to donate at least $10 to The RE*Generation, Virgin Mobile’s initiative to address youth homelessness.
It’s a fantastic cause, and the lineup was awesome. I had the pleasure of being part of last year’s VM25 and I can say without a shadow of a doubt that this year kicked last year’s ass to the moon and back. Incredible experience. Incredible people. Thank you Virgin Mobile and Mekanism for bringing me on board.
