True story: Once upon a time when I was just a wee bro, my parents took me to a haunted house. The very first part of it was an actual monkey dressed as a blood-soaked doctor in a cage. It grabbed my arm and wouldn’t let go. I’ll roll up into a real haunted house full of corpses, no questions asked, but to this day the thought of fake-ass haunted houses scares the shit out of me.
Universal will be hosting Resident Evil attractions in Japan and Silent Hill attractions (which looks a gazillion times creepier) at the Orlando and Hollywood locations.

I've been in pattern designer's heaven for the last few months. Actually, I should say I've been in baby shower decorations pattern designer heaven for the last few months. You see, I've been creating new e-patterns for my "It's Raining Baby Showers" line and I couldn't be happier.
How could I not be?
I was dealing with the incredible cheery colors of baby girl pink and baby boy blue. It doesn't get much cheerier than that.
So, I've had a delightfully bliss few months. And, now I get to introduce them all to you.
"Pretty Baby Tree" just makes a delightful baby shower decoration and is a wonderful centerpiece for any honoree's table or for the individual guest table. Imagine "Pretty Baby Tree" as the centerpiece of a food table filled with pink and blue cupcakes. It would just look adorable.
"Pretty Baby Tree" is a pattern to create a cheery 17" baby shower tree centerpiece and was created using3 yards of various fat quarters from my It’s Raining Baby Shower Fabrics Collections, as follows:

I just LOVE baby showers - don't you? Especially old fashioned baby showers with handmade decorations, favors, ornaments, and gifts that create a warm and inviting atmosphere. Pink, blue, cheery, old-fashioned warmth. It doesn't get much better than that.

My baby fabric is cut into various lengths and then gathered together to form the individual tiers and petals for the flowers. A yo-yo is used to finish the center of the blossom. The base for all is a terra-cotta pot that is either decorated with a fabric cover and bow or with just a bow. Clusters of pink and blue tulle add sparkle to the base.
"Baby Celebration Flowers" make adorable baby shower centerpieces or favors for your guests or prizes for the baby shower game winners. They also make a wonderful decoration for the mother-to-be.

Pixiv x Mirai Suenaga
Am delighted to announce that Pixiv and I got together to bring you one of their illustration contests!
For those who are not beknowist, Pixiv is the largest community for artists in Japan and by looking at their growth, they could be set to become the largest in the world too. There are about 4 million members who have generated 24 million artwork submissions which in turn generate 2.8 million pageviews per month.
Their Japanese website has an English interface but they recently started up a seperate English only interface at pixiv.com.
The contest runs from today until October 20th 2012 where all you have to do is submit an illustration of our mascot character Mirai Suenaga.
You can submit your entries at Pixiv or pixiv.com - both sites use the same database - the only difference is that the .com version is English only with a different user interface.
All entries (and you can submit many different entries) should be tagged "mirai_contest" and will all show up here. Also add the tag "Mirai Suenaga".
If you have illustrated Mirai for the previous Worldwide Otaku Report (which is currently in the design phase), then you can still submit the same artwork - just add the tag "mirai_contest"
