GX-71 Beast King GoLion - Voltron Up For Pre-Order
Breathe New Life into Your Dolls with New Bodies!
She came in a gift set with 5 (!) pieces of beautiful luggage, dressed in a faux leather outfit.
I had her back then, sold her and now I have her again with the latest body. It's just like having a brand new doll!
She is modeling Kyori's "Faded Desert" dress, a La Boutique bag and jewelry by Joy Jarred.
The original body had arms that did not bend, a large bust, tiny waist, little feet and lots of problems with longevity. Silkstone clothes are perfect for the old body, BTW. And if you have fashions from the early FR days, you can conversely use them for your Silkstone dolls. Very useful.
Below image of the original gift set was found on a database with no attribution. Thank you to whomever took the photo.

SDCC 2016: Mezco
Want Hot Toys or Sideshow quality in a smaller, easier to display size? If so then Mezco has got you covered with their One:12 Collective line. These are high quality action figures with cloth outfits and life-like detailing just like the big 1/6 scale 12 inch figures, but in the smaller 1/12 scale. Mezco is doing a little bit of everything from classic TV to movies to comics in this line including Star Wars, Star Trek, and both Marvel and DC. They aren't cheap, usually between US$70 and US$80 with a few outliers at both ends, but considering they're half the size of the 12 inch figures and half the price with the same quality it's a pretty good deal.
Looking at what's new for some of their old standbys both Mez-itz and Living Dead Dolls trudge on, even sharing the Beetlejuice license. LDD also has Child's Play dolls alongside their various other creepy offerings. Oh yeah, they make action figures, too. More Child's Play figures, Mortal Kombat X, and Pinhead from Hellraiser.
But what really has me excited is the massive 24 inch classic anime Gigantor figures in both color and black and white. I've got a few figures at that size and I've always been a big fan of the big guy so I really want one of these. Probably best that they left the price off, let me dream a little longer of owning one of them before my hopes are crushed.
Now go check out our gallery because we've got a bunch of great pictures straight from SDCC including a few of things I didn't mention!

SDCC 2016: NECA
NECA's display featured the expected slew of movie collectibles as well as some more surprising items (like a Superman vs Muhammad Ali 2-pack!).
Highlights included the amazing-looking 1/4-scale Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles figures based on the original films, 1/4-scale Batman figures based on the games and films, some new 6-inch Heroes of the Storm figures, and -- most surprisingly of all - a "Weird Al" Yankovic figure. Plus some Home Alone figures, celebrating the film's 25th anniversary. (God, 25 years? Has it REALLY been that long?)
We also got another look at some upcoming figures based on characters from popular Sony game franchises, including Kratos (God of War), Nathan Drake (Uncharted), and some Sackboys (Little Big Planet). All of these are due out in the very near future, if they're not already available.
Other collectibles on display included Alien 3 figures, a lot of assorted horror figures, more stuff for Pacific Rim (which, by the way, has a sequel coming out in 2018), and those great-looking Star Trek: Attack Wing game pieces that we keep seeing at conventions.
However, to my continued disappointment, new Gremlins merchandise was apparently nowhere to be found.

Gotta Love Sunflowers, The Fall Decorating Season, and My Creative Overdrive
There's nothing quite like walking through a field of beautiful, BIG Sunflowers. After all how can you resist their bright, big yellow flowers.
I know I can't which is why many of my Fall decorations include Sunflowers and which is why I decided last year to design several Fall sunflower fabrics. I haven't used them yet, but I'm planning on it for this Fall decorating season. The question is" What shall I make? Any suggestions?
This year I'll be putting one of my all time favorite silk floral arrangements out. It's a simple Fall seasonal Sunflower, Black-Eyed Susan, pink Carnations, grass, and yellow and white floral reeds floral arrangement that I made several years ago. As you know, I'm a huge fan of bright and cheery silk floral arrangements and love decorating my house with them all year and just love the colors and the simplicity of the arrangement.
Last year I created a free e-book on how I created my "How To Make A Beautiful Fall Sunflower and Black-Eyed Susans Silk Floral Centerpiece" so you could make one of your own. If you'd like to try your hand at making a beautiful sunflower silk floral piece my free e-book is here.
I know I've told you many, many times about the Fall season and my creativity being in overdrive. In fact, just writing this post I can feel it starting. I'm ITCHING to do some Fall decorating. Itching to create something new with my sunflowers fabric.
It's only July so I have to stifle this for awhile. At least until the end of August. However, since I don't know exactly what I'll be making with my sunflower fabric I don't know how much time it will take. I may just have to start NOW, Ya, sure, Linda! Like anyone would believe that.
In thinking about the Fall and my desire to create, sew, and design and all the blog posts I had written about the Fall (and there were a lot) I remembered the story I had written about this in November of 2006 and thought you might enjoy reading it again.
In the 10 years since I wrote that post I would have to say that this has happened to me many (well, make that many, many, many) times and, as a result, I've made many (well, make that many, many, many) Fall related dolls, crafts, and floral arrangements for my home. My "What Is It About This Season That Drives My Creativity?" post is here.
Of course, with my creativity being n overdrive in the Fall I've created a lot of fall decorations. So many that I have to rotate them year to year.
I don't know if I'll ever find out why I have this over drive or what it is about this season that enhances my creativity?
Maybe, however, I should I should stop worrying about it and just enjoy the "creative" moments? Tis the season - the "creative" season that is! And, I CAN HARDLY WAIT! I can feel the itch.
One of the worst things I can do right now is peruse my Fall Tutorials, Video's, Patterns, and How-to's Pinterest Board. That would be a disaster. I wouldn't be able to hold back my drive.
However, that shouldn't stop you from looking. I hope you enjoy some of the Fall seasonal crafts tutorials, video's and how-to's I have found.

Wonder Festival 2016 Summer: Ques Q
Ques Q continue to do what they pretty much have always done, Buy up good looking garage kits and making them into decent PVC figures.
But, if they give us more great figures like their Busou Shinki figures (if they work out a reasonable price next time) or this Popura from Working!, then I'm happy. I think that we can expect a lot more Fate/Grand Order figures from both the companies and the dealer floor for this wonder Festival but the Juggernaut that is KanKolle is still rolling on and Ques Q are proof of that, announcing a figure of Iowa. And, keeping to their roots, there are also a number of Touhou figures in their lineup as well.
but man, that Popura does look good!
