SDCC 2016: Hot Toys
Without looking you can probably get the gist of what Hot Toys had on display: Batman v Superman, Suicide Squad, Civil War, and Star Wars. That's not due to a lack of originality on their part; that's simply the zeitgeist of nerddom right now.
I'm on my third day now covering various toy exhibits, so all of the above are starting to blend together. The amount of Star Wars figures is especially getting tiresome. Would you like a Stormtrooper? How about a Sandtrooper? Snowtrooper? First Order Stormtrooper? Finn in Stormtrooper armor? Every possibly variant has been iterated on over and over.
Similarly the DC movieverse is everywhere. I'm still somewhat interested in the Suicide Squad merch because at least some of that stuff hasn't been shown in the trailers. For example, the impostor Batman figure looks awesome.
Civil War merch, mercifully, isn't as ubiquitous or else I might start harboring some resentment toward the movie. But the full set of Avengers - both Team Cap and Team Iron Man - is there.
You can see everything from Sideshow's Hot Toys display in the gallery. On top of the properties I've mentioned, there are a couple other movie licenses and some crazy large scale pieces you might enjoy.

SDCC 2016: Gentle Giant
Gentle Giant's booth at SDCC has some pretty cool stuff on display this year, including a super cute Spider-Gwen, some cool busts of various characters (omg, there's a Maz Kanata!), and even a baller BB-8 wrapped in colorful string lights. Those are just my personal favorites, though. You can check out all the goodies in the gallery.
While you're browsing, have you checked out all our other posts covering the con? Tian's camera is on fiiiire.

SDCC 2016: Quantum Mechanix
I generally think of prop replicas and Firefly/Serenity when Quantum Mechanix comes up, but their SDCC showing was almost anything but. They've got loads of cool Marvel and DC Comics figures, like this flippin' precious Adam West Batman (header) alongside some older releases like Superman and Catwoman. They were also showing a bunch of Star Trek, both classic (to me) and new. Perhaps the most surprising, though? A Harry Potter figure, and an Aquaman riding Cthulhu.
Check it all out in the gallery, and cheers to Tian for capturing all of it. While you're at it, consider browsing more of our SDCC coverage.
