Hot Toys revisit Resident Evil for the series 20th anniversary!
Yeah, we know that Resident Evil 6 wasn't exactly a great game but it is the last (thus far) main game in the series so if a company is going to celebrate the series, this is probably going to be the one to go to, especially with the recent re-release. So it shouldn't be too much of a surprise to hear that when Hot Toys are revisiting the series to celebrate its 20th anniversary, they would take their cues from Resident Evil 6.
And so, it has come to pass and they have announced a new figure of Leon S Kennedy and the best lady in the series (Quiet! You know I'm right and you're arguments are moot!) Ada Wong! Granted, the Resident Evil 6 version of Ada is not really the best (that would probably go to the Resident Evil 4 version, which remains one of my bigger regrets as I didn't buy her when she was released all those years ago) but more Ada is always good!
Leon is looking pretty spiffy as well in his casual gear but he did go through several costume changes in the course of the game... Both will come with a number of weapons and accessories to pose as you wish and they both have that trademark Hot Toys Quality look to them. Sadly, there's no mention of price at the moment and the release date is currently a cryptic "Q4 2016 ~ Q1 2017" but expect pre-orders to pop up soon.
Man, I'm definitely going to go for that Ada!

Tokyo Toy Show 2016 Early Reveals - Masterpiece Thrust & Unite Warriors Lynxmaster TakaraTomy Sky Reign
Tokyo Toy Show has kicked off in Japan, and the first round of reveals are coming in. As promised previously we have the reveal of the Unite Warriors version of Sky Reign, reportedly called Lynxmaster. Joining him is the first reveal of Masterpiece Thrust, the entirely unsurprising remold of the remold of the revitalized Masterpiece Seeker body. For now we just have a couple of small images thanks to Twitter user gadepon, but we're going to be keeping watch for more to roll in. Unite Warriors UW-EX Lynxmaster Official Photos Of TakaraTomy Edition Sky Reign
Now that it's had its debut at Tokyo Toy Show, the TakaraTomy Mall order page for UW-EX Lynxmaster is now live! And with it we have our first good look at this combiner team. As expected it consists of mostly the same molds as Hasbro's Sky Reign, but with Ratchet instead of Smokescreen. All the figures have enhanced decos, a notable thing especially in Wheeljack's case. And of course this means everyone has a shot at a Combiner Wars Ratchet, and they don't even have to paint it themselves! Click through for the mirrored photos.
