It's definitely no surprise that I love Victorian dresses and Victorian dolls.  So, you can imagine how thrilled I was to see how many Victorian French Fashion Dolls the Strong National Museum of Play had in their doll collection.  It's unbelievable.

There are so many I couldn't decide which was my favorite.  I LOVED them all and would like to see all of them.  They're all simply exquisite.

Here's a few of my favorites:

First 4 Figures returns to basics with their next foray into the Metroid Series

$

First 4 Figures have released some pretty amazing figures of Samus Aran from Metroid over the past 8 years. Their first being the Varia Suit release back in 2008. and now, they have decided to revisit the iconic powered suit design for their next 1/4 scale release after the Light suit.

I have to admit that the light suit design didn't really do anything for me but it's a whole different ballgame when the varia suit is involved and this new statue looks SWEET!!!!

As with the light suit release, there will be a regular edition on sale as well as a more expensive exclusive version sold on the F4F website. The regular version comes in at $385 while the exclusive version will retail at $430. The difference being that the exclusive version will have LEDs embedded in certain points of the statue.

The pricetags are pretty damn hefty but even so, I find myself tempted. Metroid is a series which I am very fond of and the varia suit pretty much IS Metroid. When you think about our heroine, Samus, you think of the varia suit design! F4F are taking pre-orders for both types now and, as before, the numbers will be severely limited. Once they're gone, that's it so make sure you pop over to their site if you want to get your order in!
