An Ebay seller from Taiwan had a listing for the promotional release of the Deluxe Groove mold from Unite Warriors in Combiner Wars packaging. That is by itself hardly noteworthy, except for the photo associated with it. Under the packaged figure is a flattened shipping carton, printed with the label TRA GEN MAY MAYHEM DELUXE GROOVE. Although there is always the possibility this represents a canceled plan, it's sure looking more and more like a larger release of the mold is on the way. Thanks to Anthony from TFU.info, we've got new information about the Combiner Wars animated series. As we reported yesterday, Machinima announced the series would be carried on Verizon's go90 streaming app, which led to the conclusion that the media - and app - would be exclusive to Verizon Wireless customers. But thanks to deeper digging, it turns out that the app and its content are freely available to anyone with a compatible mobile device. But it's not all good news, as even with this wider availability, the app is limited to users in the United States. Keep reading for a link to Verizon's go90 help page.
Following up our report from this afternoon, it looks like we have more support of May Mayhem and the North American (or at minimum United States) distribution of Deluxe Groove in Combiner Wars. Retailer Dorkside Toys has a product page up for Groove, with an expected arrival in May. Groove is priced the same as the other Deluxes currently available from the store, indicating a direct supply rather than independent sourcing and resale of the Asian distribution of the figure. Signs are looking good for inexpensive and relatively easy access to this figure very soon. Keep reading for screenshots!
