Wonder Festival 2016 Winter: X-Plus
X-Plus hit WonFes with some big name properties. Right off the bat you have their Godzilla figures, sure to please you kaiju fans out there.
If classic anime is more to your taste, they also showed a selection of Dragon Ball Z figures. In the gallery you can see the limited edition Super Saiyan Goku. Something about the paint job looks off to me. I think his skin is a little too flat. Joining him are Trunks (in two poses) and Android 18. I wonder if they can't find something more... exciting for her to do than just stand with hands on her hips. A breaking-Vegeta's-arm pose would be neat.
Back to live action, X-Plus showed off their 1/6-scale Harry Potter dolls. You can see Harry, Hermione, and Snape in the gallery. Maybe it's just me but Hermione seems to have a bit of a derp face.

Wonder Festival 2016 Winter: Good Smile Company part 1
Good Smile Company's Wonderful Hobby Life For You display is like the all-you-can-eat buffet of Wonder Festival. By my quick internet research I estimate they have infinity figures. And I feel like half of that infinite number goes to FREEing's damned bunny girls.
I get that it's their thing. They like bunny girls a lot. But, well, I feel like they've iterated on that outfit enough to last a lifetime. Let it go, FREEing. Explore other clothing choices!
Moving on to stuff I do like, we'll start with FREEing's Rina-chan from Gal Kanshu Rina-chan no M Otoko-ka Seikyouiku Shidou. Did you get all that? Apparently it's a femdom eroge (by the way, be careful when you Google this stuff!). I don't know anything else about it but that figure is sexy!
Representing Persona 3 is Aigis, sporting a beautiful blue yukata. See what happens when you look beyond the bunny outfit? FREEing actually does have some nice figure designs!
Some other figures that caught my eye include:
- Max Factory's Nana Deviluke, continuing their To Love-ru Darkness lingerie figures
- Good Smile Company's Yuudachi Kai Ni. I have to say, they nailed it!
- A jaw-dropping Saber Alter designed by Huke, which is making its way into GSC's Wonderful Hobby Selection line (i.e. it'll be expensive)
- Phat! Company's Kongou, painted. Burning love!
- 3A's Fallout 4 power armor. As is par for course, this thing looks incredible.
- A teaser for GSC's Yotsugi Ononoki, who debuted in Nisemonogatari
We'll have more from the WHL4U booth soon!
