Frombie reveal Anime Expo releases and collab with ESC
We at Tomopop are pretty big fans of Frombie, who we first got to chat with at NYCC last year as they made their debut into the vinyl world. Since then, they've released plenty of comics, toys and accessories, and now there's a whole new wave of cool stuff to look forward to this summer.
Their original characters SB and Kami will be getting 12-inch plushies and new pins and limited edition resin colorways. Zora will be getting a couple new pins, one of which is a collaboration with ESC. Aldara, who is getting a pin, will also be a Frombies x ESC-Toy limited edition resin figure called Aldara x Sama.
If you're attending AX (June 29 - July 2 at the Los Angeles Convention Center), you can catch them at Booth #1213. Adam Litvack of Frombie and Erick Scarecrow of ESC will be on hand for signing on Friday through Sunday, and with every purchase Frombie has been known to give gifts, like folders, notepads, and more.

How can you not know what dolls you have?
In one of my smaller showcases I was using two Tiny Kitty boxes to create a higher level for a row of dolls standing in back of another row of dolls. This showcase has been outfitted thus for at least a year and maybe more.
I have a lot of Tiny Kitty dolls and the ones I added to my collection in the past 9 months have remained boxed for the pending move. Imagine my surprise when I opened the two boxes and found brand new dolls inside. I have absolutely no recollection of buying them although from my records I see that I bought them at the end of March, 2011. I am surprised at myself that I would use boxes containing NRFB dolls to create a shelf.
I am almost completely packed as far as the FR dolls go. Less than 10 dolls remain to be packed out of about 90 Fashion Royalty. Then it's the clothing and the accessories. I'm going to pack my Sybarites, too. I have to finish this and move on to the next packing area.
My house is a maze which winds itself through narrow paths of cartons. My living room furniture is all at one end of the room and I have a large folding table set up for operations. My right ring finger is swollen from the wasp sting two days ago. It's 104° outside. And we don't know exactly where we are going to live as we had to terminate the contract of sale on the new house due to serious inspection issues. But I'm hanging on to a positive outlook. It will all work out for the best. And then I will have to unpack. Hahahahaha.
Does doll collecting cause insanity?

Gary Ham's Monster Toytem delayed, not releasing at SDCC
A while back, we mentioned Gary Ham's Monster Toytem, a production vinyl piece he was going to be releasing in the future. The Monster Toytem was actually set to debut at SDCC, and it was a piece a lot of folks were looking forward to, perhaps for its stacked character design or just because they like Gary's work.
Unfortunately, that won't be the case. Gary tweeted this afternoon that he wasn't willing to risk production quality with a rushed order process, so you won't be able to pick one up at Gary's SDCC booth (#4836). That being said, a delay to preserve quality is one I can always deal with. Anyone looking forward to the Toytem eventually coming out?
