Apparently it's time for a competition of Combiner Wars Optimus Prime upgrades, as via the Weibo page of chanmoda, we have a first look at another IDW-inspired upgrade package by a group identifying as "SND". With many images provided, we can see expected general similarities, with some notable design divergences that may prove important. The Iron Lady add on set containing weapons similar to those included in this year's Combiner Hunters SDCC set has some new images today. Seen in colorless clear plastic which we really hope is not the final appearance for everything in the set, the new pictures focus on Chromia's add ons, which include the canopy shield. A few pictures also take time to show how Chromia stores all the extra gear in motorcycle mode - no report on storage for Arcee's Giant Slayer at this time. Click through for the mirrored photos!
Today Deadline is reporting that TJ Fixman, known perhaps best to this audience For his contributions to the Ratchet & Clank series, has been hired in to Hasbro Studios as a creative consultant. Fixman's role will be to work with the existing media producers to help develop the fiction and media sides of the major brands, including Transformers. It sounds like Hasbro Studios is making a serious effort to up their media game, and only time will tell what influence will be seen from this latest addition.
Toy Scope on Facebook has posted a few new photos of the Maketoys unofficial Scorponok Pandinus, as well as a short review of the robot mode. As this is a testshot and still had a journey ahead of it, they apparently didn't have the opportunity to transform it, but the text indicates that the robot mode has a surprising degree of poseability given its overall size and bulk.
