Is it wrong to try to pick up Nendoroid Hestia in a dun- er, shop?

Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon  (shortened to Danmachi in Japanese) might have one of the most misleading titles in recent history. Sure, there are a lot of girls running around in this series, all with a bit of interest in main character Bell's many merits. But it implies that Bell is some sort of girl crazy guy that would rather hit on girls in a dungeon than fight monsters. Bell only has his sights set on one girl, but nobody wants Bell more than his resident deity Hestia.

Hestia's Nendoroid is a pretty perfect representation. By that I mean the poverty stricken goddess's assets are fully realized complete with her trademark blue ribbon. Interestingly the ribbon appears to be able to stretch some to accommodate all of her arm options. Speaking of arms, she comes with three pairs: arms at her sides, hands on her hips, or elbows bent with her hands in front of her. The last one is perfect for holding up her included croquette. As for expressions you can choose between her standard smile, a big triumphant grin, and the face she makes when things just don't go her way. Plus she comes with a sitting part to really alter the look of the figure.

Pre-orders opened today for ¥4,200 with release expected in January. Will this be the only Nendo for Danmachi? Probably not, I think there's a fair chance of Aiz Wallenstein getting one eventually. But like so many other Nendoroid series the girls might be left without their leading man.

In these shots we can see nice angles on the vehicle modes, plus comparisons with some official MP products, and Generations Springer just in case you might like to find a different application for the figure. We're not sure if this is a fully finalized piece, but if not it looks very close! Keep reading to take a look.

Coming to us from Stanley Cheung on Facebook, we have a first look at the new stock images for Masterpiece Ironhide. The figure due in January can be seen in clear closeup in vehicle and robot mode, plus with the storage unit made from the back of the van which isn't quite managing to be the original toy's battle platform. And unfortunately, if you already didn't care for MP Ironhide's looks, these images probably won't change your opinion. Click through to see them!

Perfect for your Halloween tree: New Nightmare Before Xmas Mystery Minis!

Looking for some coffin-stuffers? Funko has a new series of Nightmare Before Christmas Mystery Minis on the way as well as a Pocket Pop! Vampire Teddy.

This marks the second NBC Mystery Minis series we've seen. The new figures are more in the style of the Mystery Minis series as we know it today which means they won't necessarily match the previously released NBC Mystery Minis (and thus it's a shame that Funko didn't include a new Oogie!).

It's a really great-looking set AND it highlights a lot of supporting characters rather than including a lot of different versions of Jack. The line-up includes Jack Skellington, Santa, the Creature Under the Stairs, Behemoth, Shock, the Harlequin Demon, Barrell, Lock, the Pumpkin King (Jack), a vampire, the Clown with the Tear-Away Face, and Sally.

Given that each has a 1/12 rarity, it should be easy to find the character you want or, if you want all of them, you can just order a case (which I may wind up doing!). While I want the full set, oddly enough no one character stands out as being far better than the rest although I suppose I'm most looking forward to the Pumpkin King. Look for these in October!

The other new item is a strangely adorable Pocket Pop! Vampire Teddy. I was never big into the concept but he looks scary cute (or cute scary?) so I'm tempted to add him to my keychain (to accompany but not replace my falling part Lego Scarecrow keychain). He's slated to release in November.

Do you guys have a favorite out of these new figurines?

The Victorian Animals Society and My Animal Crafts Tutorials, Insect, Bird & Reptile Tutorials, Video's, Patterns, & How-To's Pinterest Board

I don't think I've ever met anyone who hasn't loved making animals.  Whether their sewn,  knit, crocheted, sculpted, papercrafted, woodcrafted or painted - everyone loves them.  So, of course, given I love everything and anything Victorian I had to make some Victorian animals of my own.

However, my Victorian animals decided all on their own to form their own "Victorian Animal Society" for themselves and all their animal friends.  Here's why:

"Bearly Victorian, Ryan" and his wife, "Bearly Victorian, Deb!" have decided to start their own "Victorian Animals Tea Society" for all their wonderful Victorian animal friends.

After getting rejected for the umpteenth time from the latest Victorian tea society that he had applied to "Barely Victorian, Ryan!" decided that he and his wife should start their own club.

Their club would truly have an open membership and be accepting of all individuals and creatures. None of this "open to all", but really closed to animals rules. So what if Ryan and Deb were bears. They were still Victorian to the core. In fact, their lineage was probably older than some of the snooty Victorians who turned down their membership application.

Only one way around - start your own club! So, "Bearly Victorian, Ryan!" and "Bearly Victorian, Deb!" did.

While I absolutely love my Victorian animals I also love all types of animals, insects, birds and reptiles and love finding all sorts of "freebies" for making them.

If you do, too, I hope these tutorials, video's, patterns, and how-to's are helpful.
