Inki-Drop's Saltwater Sweeties Kickstarter has officially started
After a slight delay, Inki-Drop's Saltwater Sweeties Kickstarter campaign is currently underway and will run until September 7th.
The campaign seeks to raise US$26,000 to fund the creation of three food-themed animal plushies: Eclair (the Otter), the (Pork) Loin Shark, and the Mint Chocoturtle. US$39 gets you a plush of your choice and a sticker sheet. However, you can save a little money by buying the plushies together as you can pick two for US$74 or three for US$110 (meaning you could even do multiples of the same). Of course, if you want six you'll only pay US$210 which means you'll save US$24 vs buying individually.
For those wondering which plush is the most popular, the Chocoturtle currently has 24 backers while Eclair has seven and the Loin Shark a lowly five. Granted, we're only on the second day (and 10%+ funded) so there's still plenty of time for those numbers to change.
Inki-Drop has promised a special announcement once funding reaches US$15,000 (which I'm going to take a wild guess and assume it'll be a teaser for additional characters). In addition, the stretch goals will add free enamel pins to all plush orders.
Which plush is your favorite? Are you on #TeamMintChocoturtle or do you prefer one of the less appreciated plushies?

My Tinytopia Mixed Media House Canvases
I finally finished the last two projects I will be making from the Tinytopia & The Magic of Little Things online class being taught by Mary Jane Chadbourne class at Artful Gathering this summer.
The project was to create a small, simple design mixed media canvas from the miniature houses.
Well, given that I never do anything in moderation my canvases were small (6" x 6" and 8" x 8") but not a simple design. Mine ended up being dense collage clusters of sorts. I started out trying to make them simple, but they just wouldn't cooperate. So, dense they became.
The one shown in the picture at the beginning of this post is a seasonal Spring and Summer garden collage.
Given that we're almost to my favorite season - Fall and given that I always make something for every Fall season I decided to make something for the upcoming Fall season and Halloween holiday. My Fall and Halloween mixed media canvas dense collage is shown below.
I totally enjoyed the 3 online classes that I took at Artful Gathering this summer and learned a LOT but have to say that they were a LOT of work - especially two classes in one session. I don't think I'll be taking two classes in one session again as they took a lot of time and time, for me, is of the essence. So next year I'll be back to one each session.
