Knowing the history of Transformers, repaints are a given. When it comes to Grimlock, you can put even money on the repaint being some sort of homage to the G1 look, which is what we have with Gold Armor Grimlock. Now this isn't just a repaint, the head has been retooled with a face plate to better resemble the classic visage. Hisashi Yuki has recently shared a photo on Twitter with the soon to be released Transformers Adventure Runabout, a recolor of our Generations Blackjack, hanging out with Legends EX Scourge from Tokyo Toy Show. And while the resemblance is coincidental, it's hard to deny Runabout's Battlecharger colors go together very well with Scourge's deco. Maybe this can drive a few extra sales by prompting people to give Scourge Battlecharger troopers? Click through to check out the photo!
Play With This Too has tweeted an image of Jetstrike, their figure inspired by the Pretender shell of Starscream, seen as a CG render to tease the debut of a printed prototype for the figure soon. The render is a basic showing of everything the design involves, including weapons, helmet, and an alternate robotic head based on Starscream's. Along with Boneyard, the prototype for this figure is expected to be part of the relaunched Kickstarter campaign Play With This Too will be undertaking in the near future. Hisashi Yuki has staged a quick game show with Adventure's Override and Runabout, plus the tiny Alpha Trion from Legends Series Ultra Magnus. The object is to identify Runabout's faction affiliation, but it's so well disguised, can anyone possibly win the game?! Indeed, Yuki's latest photo demonstrates the six Decepticon stamps on Runabout, up to five of which can be readily seen at one time in robot mode. Sheesh.
