Oh how I have waited... After teasing us relentlessly at pretty much every major figure event for the past few years, Amiami have finally decided to release the second of their <IS> Infinite Stratos figures for pre-order! Here's Cecila Alcott and Blue Tears!!!
There are some caveats though. Like Houki, the release date is still quite far off. In fact, don't expect her to appear until this time next year at the earliest! And then, of course, there's the price. ¥27,500!? That's right, this beauty comes not only with an extensive wait time but also a staggering price tag! It's OK, I'll wait until you get back up!
On the plus side, right now, it's matching what happened with Houki so expect some delays on top of the 12 month wait but also expect the price to lower to something slightly more reasonable before release. Then again, the Shinonono Houki figure absolutely blew me away so even if it does keep its astronomical price, I'll still go for it because the previous release was that damn good! It's also Cecila. Only Chifuyu is better! And if you pre-order from amiami, there's a special release which comes with a little extra in the shape of a pocket watch for ¥2,000 extra. Hey, if you're going to go for her anyway, what's an extra ¥2,000, right?

Macross 2 doesn't get much love compared to other series, mostly because it's not that good. Still, it does have some fans and it's hard to fault its mecha designs which were more of an update to the much loved and remembered VF-1 Valkyrie.
Well, evolution Toys thought that the main mecha in Macross 2 deserved some love as well and have prepped a release for a fully transforming VF-2 Valkyrie 2! Admittedly, the design lacks some of the details which one expects from the usual Macross mecha releases, especially ones from Yamato/Arcadia but we get next to no releases from Macross 2 anyway so i guess we can't really complain. Maybe I'll check out the OVA again. It's been a while since I watched it.

Artist Shunya Yamashita's trademarks are his cute feminine faces and voluptuous bodies. So if we have someone who's hooded, robed, and masked, it makes me wonder... why put the Bishoujo label on her at all?
Indeed, Kotobukiya's Tali figure does seem like a pretty straightforward translation of the game model. I suppose the only concession to pervs like me is that she actually has a really nice butt. Sorry, I had to point it out. If you like the character design being true to the source, then this should make you really happy. One thing I found intriguing is the way they did her mask. Could we potentially see a removable mask with Tali's face?

Via Weibo, Dr Wu has announced the most ambitious yet of the parade of Titan Class Devastator add-ons: A new Mixmaster. The Weibo posting indicates that the final product is intended to favor the G1 toy more. Besides the obvious visual styling to that end, the drum is planned to rotate, and the head design may be more toy inspired than the generally cartoon-derived heads of the Constructicons in the set. So far the new figure is only represented as CG superimposed over photos of the other toys. Click through to check out the concept images.
