This past weekend at BotCon the Transformers Collectors Club laid out their plans for 2016. This year they didn't go nearly as obscure with their figure choices as they did with the 2015 selection. I don't want to join the subscription service, but for these characters I might have to.

Definitely getting Ramjet and Skywarp, and really like most of the subscription figures. I would have gone with Air Raid for Windsweeper since they both have sweptback wings. I'm not really sold on Bludgeon with this mold since he's typically a tank. Would rather he was a repaint of Generations Blitzwing in the IDW or at the very least a repaint of Combaticon Brawl. Not sure what the sixth figure will be, but the seventh bonus figure will probably be a Legends figure to go with the combiner like a repaint of Swerve as Crankcase to round out the Triggercons or actual squad member Roadblock out of Scamper. Hopefully we'll be hearing about prices and more details soon enough.

Sponsor TFSource has added several images to their Facebook page showing the latest updates to Perfect Effect's Perfect Combiner accessory line. Now seen in full color and paint, the body kits for Superion and Menasor look like they're almost ready to add to the combiner figures - and add a lot, at least in Menasor's case! The photos include a multi-stage upgrade sequence display for both combiners to show exactly what you're getting, too. Keep reading to have a look.
This evening, the official Transformers Youtube channel has added a trailer-style video for Combiner Wars Devastator. ...Without showing the toy at all. A collection of G1 animation clips and various pieces of art make up the just-under-a-minute video, throwing this more in the realm of teaser-trailers. But given the date, there's a good chance this is part of a buildup to the street date for preorders, believed to be July 1st. DX9, the alter ego of Unique Toys, take another swing at a Transformers Masterpiece-scaled robot with D06 Carry, a toy paying homage to the Autobots post-Optimus leader, Rodimus Prime. DX9 have been doing very well of late, their Invisible figure was superb, Chigurh was a recent favourite of mine, their War in Pocket line is blossoming and now they take a hugely ambitious stab at an all-in-one Generation 1 styled Rodimus Prime, inspired by the anime stylings of Japanese art group Studio Ox.
