Hop on down for the EE-exclusive Hikari Jiangshi
Entertainment Earth recently gave us a heads-up regarding a neat store exclusive: the Hikari "Mythos" Sheriff.
Limited to just 300 pieces, Funko's Hikari "Mythos" Sheriff is apparently based on the legendary monster from Chinese folklore called a Jiangshi which is some kind of jumping vampire (presumably more frightening than a jumping bean; fans of 90s cartoons may recall the monster as having appeared in an episode of Jackie Chan Adventures).
As for why he's called the Sheriff, I have no idea although maybe somebody wants to shoot him? (But just don't shoot the deputy!). Of course, a more appropriate name for the bloodsucker might be the "Tax Collector"!
The Hikari "Mythos" Sheriff will come in a coffin-shaped package (which is very cool... but not really the sort of coffins used in China). If you're digging the design or the presentation, you can unearth the "Mythos" Sheriff in July. He can pre-ordered for US$50.
