UPDATED: Takara Tomy adds a trio of villainesses to Transformers Legends
[Update: The three were shown at Tokyo Toy Show 2015 earlier this week fully painted. They were only shown in bot mode and pics can be found in the gallery. Plus pre-orders are still available in a number of places. (via Daim Choc)]
Takara Tomy knows how to cash in on a good thing. When they first introduced their version of Hasbro's Arcee, Chromia, and Windblade to the Japanese public as part of the Legends toy line (their version of the Generations line) they greatly underestimated demand. The figures sold out fast, to the point that they couldn't even produce enough Arcee figures to fulfill orders; she's getting a second run in August, totally unheard of! Clearly this means more fembots are in order and Takara Tomy is ready to deliver!
Although still in the unpainted stage we get a pretty good idea of what to expect from this villainess triple threat. LG15 Nightbird is a remold of Arcee based on the Japan-made drone gone amok from the original G1 cartoon. She features a new head and partial resculpt of the body plus a pair of sais. LG16 Slipstream is the female Starscream clone originating from Transformers Animated using the Windblade mold with a new head and chest, plus new arm mounted Seeker Jet guns. LG17 Blackarachnia is the fan favorite black widow modeled on her original well endowed appearance in Beast Wars, but based on the figure of the Animated version of the character with a new body and head. She isn't shown with weapons so hopefully she gets something to mimic her pincer hands from her original design. She's also a defector in the series so it should be interesting to see which faction they list her from.
They all look pretty good already so I'm looking forward to seeing what the final results look like. There hasn't been any official word made on pricing, but it'll probably be around ¥2,800 like previous Deluxe class figures from the Legends line. Big Bad Toy Store and TFSource are currently taking pre-orders at around US$30 and date them for October. I'm on board, but I'm going to take my chances with Japanese pre-orders. Unfortunately Hasbro is busy with Combiner Wars through 2016 so if they get their hands on these it wont be any time soon.

Tokyo Toy Show 2015: MP Ironhide and Optimus Primal, UW Devastator, and Diaclone returns
Transformers fans were given a lot to be excited about at Tokyo Toy Show 2015 this past week. Takara Tomy had done some small reveals, like letting us see a finished look at their take on the Protectobots and their three evil fembots Slipstream, Night Bird, and Blackarachnia. But the best was yet to come with their Saturday reveals.
First up is a first look at Takara Tomy's take on the Constructicons for the Unite Warriors line. As expected it's very cartoon accurate with the paint and is a bit more detailed than the Hasbro retail version, but not as much as the upcoming SDCC edition. As good as it looks it's not the colors that make it stand out against the two Hasbro versions, but the improved elbow articulation! With the Hasbro mold the elbows of the individual team members are very 'abstract', to put it nicely. Now all of the figures have proper elbows and they're looking just below Masterpiece level, to the point that Takara Tomy will probably try to promote them through comparing them with MPs. Looking forward to hearing what kind of price they come up with for these.
Next up Takara Tomy gave us a first look at Masterpiece Ironhide, finishing out the rumored trifecta of new MPs started by Tracks and Road Rage. In a figure line where Takara Tomy is consistently pulling out all the stops they managed to find even more stops to pull out with Ironhide. First off it appears this one is going to be on the larger side. In one image next to Optimus Prime he's only just a little smaller than Prime, so about the same size as the Seeker Jets. Surprisingly they chose to base the figure on the original G1 figure and made a portion of the van mode detach to form a sort sled that's used to store his weapons. And boy does he have weapons! He has guns, he has a canon, he has interchangeable weapon hands, he has just so much stuff! He even has interchangeable face plates! It's a great looking figure, though I'm sure he'll cost considerably more than the other cars.
The other big reveal for the MP line was one that nobody could have guessed was coming: Optimus Primal! I know a lot of people expected Fire Convoy (RID Optimus Prime) to be the next leader in the line, but this was came out of left field and is more than welcome. All that was shown was a prototype of the beast mode which looks like it may have been sculpted directly from Mainframe's animation models. Hopefully we won't have to wait long for them to give us us a look at the next stage and hopefully we've got a Megatron not far behind him.
On a side note Takara Tomy earlier in the week revealed their new Diaclone line, an update to the original Diaclone (or Diakron) line of the '70s and early '80s that would help spawn the Transformers franchise. The first figure up is Dia Battles V2, a robot made up of three vehicles with pilots. The figure looks really cool, but will probably come at a price. No word on which, if any, other figures are coming next, but I'd love to see Gats-Blocker done.

Victorian Dress Custom Fabrics Collection
My love of everything and anything Victorian has taken me in so many craft directions. I've designed and created many, many handmade Victorian dolls - some "faceless", some with embroidered faces and some with porcelain faces. For most of these designs I've created Victorian patterns so you can create Victorian dolls of your own.
I've created handmade Victorian wool felt dress ornaments with embroidery and embellishments, like those shown in the collage above.
I've also designed 9 different Victorian wool felt dress patterns that can be embroidered and embellished with beads, ribbons, and lace trim decorations so you can create your own ornaments.
My hand embroidered and embellished Victorian wool felt dress ornaments, e-patterns and print patterns are available in my Linda Walsh Originals Shop.
If you would like to see my My Victorian Hand Embroidered and Embellished Dress Ornaments and New E-Patterns please CLICK HERE.
I also love designing fabrics. So, I thought why not create some Victorian dress fabrics that could be used for Victorian, shabby chic and cottage home decor as well as fabric for Victorian doll dresses, doll quilts, etc.
There are twenty seven designs in my new Victorian Dress Fabrics Collection. Five of those designs are based on my cut and sew decorated dresses graphics. Twenty two of those were designed to coordinate with the dress designs from my penny rug Victorian dress ornaments collection, which are shown in the collage above.
If you'd like to see all the fabrics I have designed please CLICK HERE to visit my Linda Walsh Originals Fabric Designs website or CLICK HERE for my Linda Walsh Originals Fabric Designs shop on Spoonflower.com.
I'm working on all sorts of ways for you to create with my Victorian dress custom fabric designs so stay tuned. Who knows what direction this phase will take me in.
