Not one, but two gorgeous statues of Mike Mignola's Hellboy have gone up for pre-order at Mondo's store. They're not expected to be released until the last quarter of this year, but they're probably going to be worth the wait.
Both statues are the same in terms of sculpt and height (12 inches), but one is red and the other is the Mondo-exclusive black and white "colorway." What's cool about this design is it's the first one Mignola drew, and the coloring for the red version was done by Dave Stewart. I've included images of the artwork itself in the gallery, because it's super rad to see it and compare with the statues.
You can snag the red version for US$200, or for a mere $25 more you can get the black and white exclusive version (limited to 200 pieces). At the time of writing, it doesn't seem like anything is sold out, but I find it's better to not delay when something looks this good. If you're a Hellboy fan with an eye for high quality statues, consider jumping on this one.
As someone who just recently got into reading Hellboy comics, I'm super tempted. Wouldn't you want this sitting on your comics shelf? Have a good look at him in the gallery below, and then let us know what you think.
