"Raking up leaves and jumping in the piles is is one of my fondest memories as a kid, so this one is called "Some Play in Autumn". It's Cel Vinyl on wood and a pink wash on the car so you can still see the beautiful wood grain … I designed something playful because proceeds from the show go to charity, the World Childhood Foundation. TaskOne's Damaged Goods turns bland into bold

TaskOne's Damaged Goods turns bland into bold screenshot

I'll be honest, the TYO Truck is one of the DIY pieces I'm least passionate because ... well, it's a truck. That doesn't mean it's bad, per se, and I like cars, but it sometimes feels odd seeing it in a store alongside Dunnys and Munnys. However, Task One has put together a custom using the TYO Truck, Damaged Goods, that makes the truck look ... well, good.

Ripping open the side of the truck are some giant graffiti-style arrows like tentacles, with some nice weathering effects, while the rear features Task's name in graffiti-style lettering. It's simple, but it works well, I think. What say you?

Shining Blade's Ira Blanc Neige gets an icy gallery screenshot

What more can be said about Ms. Ira Blanc Neige Gardinias that hasn't already been said with her previous figures? Well I won't be the one to figure it out, but gosh she's just beautiful. I especially like how sassy she looks in this particular piece by Kotobukiya.

Have you got your pre-orders in for her yet? If not you can always check the usual places listed below. She retails for ¥6,800 and will be releasing this July. If you've got enough info, go on ahead and jump to the gallery and take a look at all the beautiful images from Akiba Hobby.

Art piece or cosplay? I want this Majora's Mask!

Art piece or cosplay? I want this Majora's Mask! screenshot

Holy crap! It's few and far between where I get the sudden urge to slap down $250, should I have it, for something out of the blue, but this Majora's Mask replica has definitely done that to me. This is a wearable, hand-painted replica that was cast in fiberglass resin, filled with a polyurethane foam and painted with acrylics. It's also been covered with acrylic lacquer for protection on the paint.

If, by chance, you don't want to color scheme of the original you can always ask and Riley Planalp, the creator of the mask, will be glad to paint it differently for you. If you'd like to order a mask for yourself, head on over to Riley's Etsy Store and put in an order for one. In about 4 weeks you'll be owning yourself Majora's Mask! Just.. don't get too crazy now.

Still Life: Afternoon Tea

I created this piece for the Plush Team's March/April challenge. The theme of the challenge was The Artful Stitch: Plush Art, and we could chose to either make a still life or a self portrait.

I decided to try something new and break out the wool roving and my needle felting kit. Everything you see here is needle felted by hand. It was a ton of fun trying something new, and the colors of roving that I had just called out to be made into a plate of macaroons (Mmmmm macaroons ;D), and the rest followed.

You can see the rest of the Team's creations on the Team's Facebook page, and they will also be available for sale in the Team's etsy shop starting today.

Don't forget to enter my Catwoman Rabbit giveaway- you have until Saturday to enter if you haven't already. :D

[NSFW] Pre-order this tsunami-sized Mizuho Kazami screenshot

Well, there are large figures, and there are large figures. I've always been a fan of Onegai Teacher's Mizuho, being one of the few characters I have multiple figures of, but even I have to take pause at this behemoth. When I think of a large scale figure, I think of, you know--1/4, 1/5. A+ is ramping things up though, releasing this towering 1/2.5 scale bathing beauty this June. Because apparently they just couldn't go the distance with the whole 1/2 thing?

Anyway, they call it the "Sunburn" version for reasons unknown. I'm presuming it's because she has tan lines, and tan equals sunburn now or something. Whatever the case, this is one huge figure, and because the size alone just isn't enough she's also fully castoffable. Honestly I'm not sure what to think. The figure itself looks pretty decent, but something just seems a little off with her face. I don't know if it's the scale or just A+ in general. What do you all think? Keep in mind though, if even the novelty has you reaching for your credit cards, she's crafted from resin and will run a whopping ¥33,800. That's over $400 USD for you American types. Yikes.

That is, until I went to go check it out for myself and yes, DIAL B FOR BLOG is Back! Do you too also think it's too good to be true? Well, Just CLICK HERE!
