Kotobukiya teases Emma Frost statue
Kotobukiya has posted a teaser image for what appears to be an Emma Frost wearing a take on her more current outfit. [[UPDATE: It's mostly an ArtFX+ statue.]]
Comic fans will recall that Emma Frost joined the X-Men around the last time Jean Grey was killed off and has remained a prominent member of the group. Before that, she was a long-time X-Men rogue who went by the name White Queen (particularly as a member of the Hellfire Club).
While I'll always prefer Emma's more classic looks, I'm looking forward to how this one turns out. I imagine that we'll see the full thing on display at SDCC next month.

Forget monsters, at SDCC it's all about the Combiner Hunters
You can't exactly have a villain without a hero to oppose them. Or in this case a trio of heroines. Last month Hasbro previewed their first Transformers exclusive for San Diego Comic Con, the massive premium Titan Devastator box set, and now we get to see the opposition. Their second offering is the three fembots that fans of the ongoing comic book series already know as the Combiner Hunters: Arcee, Chromia, and Windblade.
The three gals feature all new, highly detailed paint apps straight from the comics. The most drastic repaint is Arcee, now sporting a new black deco with pink highlights and an Autobot face tattoo. Chromia now has added gray and, not to be outdone by Arcee, her best attempt at sweet Ultimate Warrior face paint. Windblade added more red and some gold to her mix plus some intricate bot mode paint apps. Plus they've got some giant weapons for taking down combiners, all of which were taken from other large figures without changing their scale. Arcee's massive cleaver comes from Beast Hunters Beast Hunter Optimus Prime, Chromia's sword belonged to Robots in Disguise 2015 Titan Hero Optimus Prime, while Windblade's staff-thing is from RID15 Titan Hero Bumblebee.
We haven't gotten a price yet, but we should be getting a press release from Hasbro with prices once they've announced all of their exclusive for 2015. As with years past these will also be available in limited quantities on Hasbrotoyshop.com after the con. I'm going to pass on Devastator since I'm fine with the retail edition, but the Combiner Hunters set is definitely one I'll be aiming for.

This Amazon Review Of A Hentai Body Pillow Case Is Just Plain Magical
Kotobukiya's Hestia is stringing us all along
I decided to start watching DanMachi (or Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? - light novel titles am I right?) on the basis of a tooth brushing gif. Well, more accurately I intended to start watching but got sidetracked by other stuff. But Kotobukiya certainly hasn't gotten sidetracked, and their Hestia figure is now up for pre-order.
I had expected the show to have a little more exposure but there haven't been a ton ofDanMachi figures announced. So it's fortunate that Kotobukiya's Hestia is looking pretty good. Her face seems pretty accurate to the animation, as well as... other parts of her anatomy.
Hestia is set for a November release, just in time for some other show to be all the rage! You can pre-order her for ¥9,200.
