Hasbro reveals Devastator exclusive for SDCC 2015
As people suspected, one of this year's San Diego Comic Con exclusives from Hasbro is Titan class Devastator. Like with the 2013 SDCC Titan Metroplex, Titan Devastator is pretty similar to the retail version, but features added purple chrome, additional paint details, and a premium box. As an added bonus the Devastator head is sculpted with two eyes rather than the single visor of the retail version. Of course you'll also be able to separate him into the six individual Voyager class Constructicons, though they're simpler than other figures of the class.
Personally I'm fine with the retail edition as I'm not a big fan of chromed plastic, especially when it's being paired with colored plastic of the same color. It's all or nothing for me. I'm also not a big fan of some of the paint details. I don't need modern figures to look like the original figures, I prefer animation accuracy. However I can certainly see the appeal to having lots of extra details.
No word on price or any other bonus items yet, but SDCC will run from July 9 to 12 this year. The retail version of Devastator will go for US$149.99 later this year, expect the SDCC version to be considerably higher. In 2014 Hasbro had two Transformers exclusive sets for SDCC, hopefully it'll be same for 2015.

Botcon 2015 - Preregistration Finally Starting? Plus First Look At 2015 Hat And T-Shirt
With about 25 days remaining before the first planned activities of this year's Botcon, it looks like registration will finally go live sometime on Friday, May 22. The Botcon Twitter account posted a notice to this effect, and an update to botcon.com goes in to slightly more detail, anticipating pre-reg so long as no technical issues present themselves in the meantime.
