The Variant Play Arts Kai Batman is up for Pre-Order and HOLY...
Square-Enix has really been pushing their Play-Arts Kai line as of late and after grabbing some of the superhero licenses, they've done some pretty interesting new designs, particularly around the DC side.
We've seen the Play Arts Kai Batman designed by Tetsuya Nomura before at SDCC but now its up for pre-order but you had better brace yourself. Brian did warn us before that the figure was rather large but it's up to you to decide if it's ¥26,784 large!!
Nope, you read that right, this PAK Batman is over twice the price of a regular figure in the same line! Heck, it's even more expensive than the Atlas Titan and Bahamut!! Even with store discounts, you're looking at a minimum spend of around ¥20,000 for one of these so I think it's safe to say that you're really going to have to want one to shell out for this figure.
Personally, I've never been a fan of the Play Arts Kai line (after my less than stellar experience with their Metal Gear Rising Raiden figure) but even if I was a fan, I don't think I'd be willing to pony up for this one. Cool as it is, I don't think it's worth the asking price, and I bought the Ques Q Busou Shinki figures!
But that's just my take. Will any of you readers take the plunge and pre-order this item?
