Well this is interesting. For the first time since we've been following these top lists we're absent one Shuriken Sentai Ninninjer DX Shurikenjin. It and the Ninja Ichibantou have been something of a staple on the list for the past six weeks. Well, the Ichibantou is still on the list so Super Sentai remains well represented.

Yo-Kai Watch is another series that's been a staple on these lists. How many times have we seen that Yo-Kai Pad pop in and out, up and down that list? Of course every time we get new Gundam figures and kits they find their way onto the hobby list. But the big surprise is seeing a remote controlled drone make the list. Not only is it unusual for something like this to sell so well, but it's also the first non-Japanese made item we've seen appear on either of these two lists as Parrot is based in Paris. Looks like Japan's demand for drones is quite big right now.
The sales list for the following week will contain the bulk of Japan's recent Golden Week holiday; there's no telling how that will disrupt the charts. Plus we're due for the April monthly ratings.

Adding some whimsical sensibilities to their upcoming release, FansToys has released some new images relating to Stomp, their figure based on the Dinobot Sludge. Alongside a group shot of the prototype with the rest of their Dinobots, the real push is a new option head part designed to emulate that one, brief moment of the animated movie where Sludge's eyes bug out after being struck by Devastator. Nonnef Productions, recently noted for their announcement of a transforming traffic light figure have debuted a new upcoming piece today. They'll be offering feet for Combiner Wars combiners with tilting ankles, and pretty much nothing else. Expected to come in at $10 a pair in white, black and purple, these pieces are likely to be a tempting alternative for those looking for just a little more flexibility out of their giant robots and don't mind extra pieces with no other function.
