Diamond Select Toys' Femme Fatales line has previously been home to a lot of heroines and villainesses with whom fans may not be familiar. However, that's likely changed with the addition of some women from the DC Animated Universe (Batman: The Animated Series, Justice League Unlimited, etc), such as Poison Ivy!
Standing 9-inches tall atop on a garden-like diorama base, Ivy is depicted innocently caressing one of her murderous plant creations. The art style is based on the first run of Batman: The Animated Series (ie, prior to the skin color change in the later DC:AU) and Steve Varner Studios has apparently done a worthwhile job translating that art into the statue.
Previously seen at Toy Fair earlier this year, Poison Ivy is just one in a line of Femme Fatales PVC statues based on the women of the DC Animated Universe. Other entries will include a fantastic-looking Supergirl and Wonder Woman.
Expect to see pre-orders open next week. DST's Femme Fatales Poison Ivy will have a US$45 list price. Like other releases (some of which we've reviewed), she'll come in a full-color box with an open window.
