We recently reported that Mezco hadn't given up on ThunderCats and would be showing new merchandise at Toy Fair. Today we're pleased to announce that one of these upcoming items will be a Mega Scale Tygra, a sketch for which was on display at Mezco's pre-Toy Fair media event.
Additionally, ToyArk reports that Mezco has "the rights to release One:12 Collective Thundercats." While the One:12 line is expensive (US$65 MSRP), it would still be have more collector-level articulated ThunderCats figures on the market... especially since Bandai of America left fans of the classic series in the lurch when they chose to produce only TWO fully-articulated figures in the 6-inch scale and another in the 8-inch scale. Personally, I suspect that I'd wind up paying US$65 for a One:12 Collective Cheetara should one be released.
Hopefully we'll see more once Toy Fair is officially underway.
Hisashi Yuki is keeping the Valentine's Day hype going with a new image of Windblade as well as a group shot of all three of the 2/14 releases in-package! Windblade sports a subtly different color layout than the domestic Generations release here, one that is more in line with the Sarah Stone version of the character as seen in the comics. Japanese Transformers artist Hayato Sakamoto will be filling in for Alex Milne in March's issue of MTMTE! Confirmed by both writer James Roberts and Sakamoto himself, Roberts mentions that Milne is "saving himself for the Road To The (Season 2) Finale." Sakamoto is known for his Transformers doujinshi (fan comics) and is currently the artist for the Transformers Legends 4-panel webcomic.
