Hot Toys unveils its Interrogator Droid accessory for EP:IV Darth Vader figure
Hot Toys has unveiled its Interrogator Droid accessory for its upcoming 1/6-scale Star Wars (a.k.a. Episode IV: A New Hope) Darth Vader figure. Vader is due out this September.
Fans will recall this droid as having been used to torture Princess Leia for information about the hidden rebel base on Yavin 4 (the location for which would later be revealed by a tracking device placed on the Millennium Falcon). Granted, we don't actually see this happen (I recall the door closing ominously), but it was a memorable moment regardless.
While Hot Toys' Darth Vader is really cool, as always it's a shame that Hot Toys doesn't sell these accessories separately because that's one neat droid. Granted, I was never sure how half of his appendages pertained to torture since a few looked more like cooking utensils, but it's all part of the quirky designs that made the droids so endearing.
Hot Toys' Interrogator Droid is an accessory for Darth Vader, who also comes with a LED-light up lightsaber, a (deactivated) lightsaber hilt, and interchangeable hands. The fully articulated figure features both sound and light-up effects. While there's a lot of value there, the US$300 may feel like a force choke on some fans' wallets. If you pre-order this one, expect to see it out in September.

While I'm looking at the Barbie site, I may as well talk about Lady of the White Woods Barbie. This is another Gold Label doll with a production rum of 7700 units. She went on sale on 1/14/15 for $100.
She looks pretty nice from here but...
...I do not like the organic swirls and seashell scallops on her face. I guess she's supposed to look like she grew from the forest floor. Love the crown, the neckpiece and wrist pieces. If anyone out there has this doll, please post a review in the comments section for the rest of us.

Hot Toys' Thanos may conquer the collecting galaxy
Hot Toys has released some images of its upcoming 1/6-scale Guardians of the Galaxy Thanos figure.
Based on the character's appearance in the Guardians of the Galaxy films, Hot Toys' Thanos is a wonder to behold. While the character's face appears a little more human-like than his comics counterpart (as these film characters often go), the figure conveys all of Thanos' bulk and sheer presence. And the armor? Simply put, it looks glorious.
The cosmic baddy stands 38-cm tall (putting him close to 15-inches in height) so he should stand a head above many of your other 1/6-scale collectibles. He comes with his throne which will have LED light-up effects (ie, expect him to be on the pricey side) as well as some interchangeable hands. Oh, and did I mention he looks incredible?
